Interesting use of the bench this weekend. Staff plays a little Saturday and then Green plays 14 minutes today. Bethea plays in both games. No Silverio today?

Credit to Masic - very important and productive 22 minutes today.
Green sat because he was not getting it done in practice. They ironed that out with him and they were pleased with his productive minutes today.

I'm not sure they win today without what Masic did for them in the first half today. i thought that was by far his best stretch as a Hofstra player so far.
I think you're being nice hear Wags since Green was pulled from the last UNCW game after picking up a foul and appeared to be reamed by Mike and it looked like he just walked away from him turning his back. Coach said he didn't play in the first game do to lack of effort(maybe attitude) in practice. Farrelly then communicated as such to David and he responded. I believe he's a plus when he's on the floor if for no other reason then his height and of course he can score some.

As far as Masic is concerned yes like his speeding up the game and running the ball up the court trying to beat the defense setting up and his drives to the basket creating penetration. He did have a friendly rim on a few shots but so did Bickerstaff for Drexel. I have compared him to Pusica and wouldn't this be a real diamond in the rough for us!!
Quote; Dutchalum "This team looks good for years to come assuming players don’t transfer out" I don't know if u had advanced this theory before Dutch because I remember seeing it somewhere but in reality based on the history of HU we have very few players transfer out especially since Joe has been at the helm.

I was one of those that raised the issue of losing players to transfer since its seemingly become the norm in CAA. It was pointed out that HU has a great record in this regard which provided some comfort, but players are individuals so one never knows. I mostly raised it in context of Cramer due to his obvious high ceiling but as someone replied loyalty is a two way street and he seems like a great kid that appreciates the opportunity provided by HU when most other schools bailed. I hope he stays all four years and graduates holding many HU records. Believe he has that potential and the rest of this excellent class is not far behind. The future is bright, and hopefully this teams finds a way to make a run in the CAA Tourney.

I'm late on this one due to some travel, but nice to see the team hold on when it mattered most. They are building that muscle more and more. Would prefer they show the ability to step on the gas and put teams away, but if gonna end up playing close then def need to win them.

Very good to see TC have a strong bounceback game - when he plays aggressive and attacks, good things happen. The challenge is, he hasn't figured out how to do this consistently, so I'd like to see him continue to show up in big ways against JMU this weekend. He needs to finally show some consistency heading into the final stretch.

Very interesting to hear that about Green, esp from Farrelly - once again super engaging open insight from Mike for us fans - good to hear those two spoke about it, and Green came out right away to do the right thing as he is expected to do in this program. Pulling for him, HUGE potential with his size and skill set.

Masic continues to show some real talent as a frosh, he has impressed me for sure, despite his common freshman gaffs. Looks like he can really become a major player here.

Kante, big time weekend for him - gonna need that muscle this weekend against JMU.

Ray, kids a winner no question, and as I mentioned recently has started to show that true leadership quality. Really not sure why he would play that much though if he was that sick, wasn't able to help really at all, probably did the opposite, BUT I suppose just having him out there is helpful from a decoy perspective to continue forcing the opponent to respect his impact on the floor.

Anyhoo, good win against a tough team, good bounceback win - hopefully they have learned what it takes now to win this thing. On to a big key series this weekend...
