I think Roberts more reminds me of JWF BECAUSE HE'S QUICK a lefty and he can leap. Jalen wasn't much of a leaper. I think we're going to see some highlight dunks before this year is over. He also has sone "HOT DOG" in him as well but Speedy has probably toned this down.

YouTube commentators who follow Syracuse basketball are pissed. How could Syracuse possibly lose to lowly Hofstra? How about this…maybe the better team won!

In 2003-2004, ESPN on TV asked how St. John's lost to us, and we finished with a better KenPom. It would be interesting to look at what percent of nonconference games are won by the team in the better conference, but it happens so often that the team in the better conference sometimes is assumed to be better even if they aren't.

I don't think so. Pittsburgh and Syracuse are in the ACC, but they were not ranked. Our NET is still low enough that if we do not win the CAA Tournament, we are unlikely to make the NIT. I do expect us to get more points in the Mid-Major Poll. Furthermore, we were picked tenth in the Preseason Poll, and without checking every conference we must be among the teams most likely to finish better than they were picked.

Watched the recorded game. Great win, but Biggie Patterson almost blew the game by himself in the last five minutes, with Hofstra blowing a ten-point lead. On the other hand, he can be a heck of a player if he can stay under control.

Amazing win. Speedy and staff deserve all the props on their execution, gameplan, and bring prepared with that zone... It was great to see Cuse so flustered!

With all the good, I think it's only fair to also double tap and expand on the above. I almost threw something at my TV when Biggie messed up the first inbound and then was PUT IN AGAIN to inbound and gave up the 5 seconds. To me, that moment along with the 10 point run and NO TIMEOUTS TAKEN (despite having 3 left with 2 minutes remaining in the game) were on Speedy.

We won, so who cares! Amazing win, fully deserved.

But if German missed that shot, I think Speedy's last 3-4 minutes in the 2nd half would have been a very big topic.

I was surprised they wanted Carlos. He had a great assist/turnover ratio for them, but he scored 6.2 points and did not shoot twos or threes well. He was not good enough to help an ACC team beat ACC teams, and Syracuse went 14-19 including 7-13 in the ACC.

Syracuse did not just lose because of Davis. Our other players made 10 of 16 threes.
