I also believe Nagle was the AE coach of the year.

Nagle had a pretty good run and this is a bit of a surprise. Stony Brook has large aspirations regarding lacrosse (look at the women's program) and rightfully so given its location and what it has to offer but did not see this coming. Sometimes the relationship with the new AD or other administration people has much to do with these things.

Will be interesting to see if Joe Spallina makes run at switching from Stony Brook wlax to Stony Brook mlax head coach, especially with his son a standout freshman in high school. As a Stony Brook hater, I hope this doesn't happen since would be nightmare to see their mlax program move above us. Bad enough seeing their wlax shine, but much easier to stomach than if Stony Brook mlax made the Final Four.

Geez, looked at Nagle's resume at SBU the only real blemish is last weeks upset loss to UMBC. The was a harsh canning, especially with Nagle's deep roots to the community being a Ward Melville guy.

Wow that is very shocking actually - anything more to this?? Seems like there could be...

If it matters to anyone, and given the complete lack of activity on this board, that's doubtful, Robert Morris, High Point, BU and Sacred Heart, and a few other such major lax powers had more USILA AA's than Hofstra which, let me check, had none. Not that I anticipated any selections, but this just fuels my disappointment and discouragement concerning the status of this once-proud program. Oh, Kyle Gallagher who transferred out of the program was named AA.

No more Midwestern winters for Joe Amplo. He's Navy's new HC:

News from the lacrosse boards is that former HU player John Orsen is joining new Navy Coach Amplo. Also, assistant coach JP Brazil is joining the new coaching staff at Stony Brook. Any speculation on who Coach Tierney might be interested in hiring? It is possible Coach T might make volunteer coach Tim McIntee the new assistant? On SB Nation College Crosse, there is a summary of the 2019 HU Lax season.

Hope Lufti pans out. I understand we lost that kid from Islip - Joe J to Princeton. Hard to blame the kid. Good to see some interest on this board.

I’m happy we will be getting new offensive coordinator as our offense could use a fresh approach.

According to Inside Lacrosse, Tim McIntee was hired as an assistant coach after J P Brazal left for Stony Brook.

Good luck to coach McIntee. Brazel, a former Hofstra goalie, will be SBU's defensive coordinator.
