Edit: Stony Brook (66-59 hosting Farmingdale State) and Charleston (79-58 hosting Tusculum) had unimpressive wins against non-Division I teams.

Yeah Victory looking athletic and HU actually moving without the ball. If we could guard the 3 point line better we would be winning this game. 36-32 at the half as Willis hits a three at the buzzer

Big 3 from Wills there right before the half, game was getting close to getting away from them. Love what we saw from the bigs, real improvement from last yr already there.

But 12 fouls, 7 turnovers, and 2-10 from 3 is the same lousy basketball that wrecked last season. Need a hell of a lot more from Cruz and German too. Like Edmead freshman 1st game of course will be growing pains, but no excuses anymore for those 2 guys

Nice resilience to close the half, scoring the last five to stay in the game at the break, down only 36-32.

Felt like it was starting to get away from them at 36-27 after the good start, up 16-7. They could have easily been down 11-12 at halftime instead of only four. Of course, they're very fortunate that UCF started 4/12 at the line. Need a good start to the second half to send the message that they aren't going away. We'll see.

I believe DeCady was playing in place of Biggie Patterson, who was on the bench with multiple fouls for most of the second half.

Thats correct. And I have zero problem playing him. Hell from what Biggie showed tonight who knows how long he holds DeCaday off from starting. My point is the kid is just not a wing on offense. Having him float around the perimeter to either last resort air ball a 3 or drive into a crowd without any handles just isnt an effective use of his skills. They've tried to make him something he isnt rather than play to his strengths imo

Overall gotta love the fight from the team. Better execution and cleaner whistle and might have actually won this game despite the terrible perimeter shooting.

With Edmead and Victory sure seems like this will be a better team than last year. Will they actually contend in the CAA? Still worried they dont have enough shooting and still not convinced that Cruz is good enough to be the best player on a championship team. Maybe Edmead becomes that guy. Terrific start for him

Agreed, impressive debut for the Pride...excited about Edmeade and Victory...look to be real bllers. Agree what is being said about DeCady...Speedy himself told me he's a tweener and they want him to learn the 3.
