2025-26 MBB
Re: 2025-26 MBB
With these new additions I feel like we’ll pull a quality big who’s able to start heading into the season.

Agree triplec - kid has skills. Is it just me or does he appear to maybe be pushing 5'10" or so?triplec2195 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 08, 2025 3:34 pm Too many unknowns here but don't feel Sunday will start. He doesn't have the skill set and is too foul prone. With two more scholarships to give we need to bring in a starter at the 5 and I believe we will. Nobody should be surprised if Edmeade winds up as the starting PG. He needs work in the weight room or he will get pushed around the court but he can score in a variety of ways.
That being said, I do like the two young freshman guards.
Re: 2025-26 MBB
I saw the team work out over the summer. Edmead is easily 6-0.
Re: 2025-26 MBB
I don't beleive Sunday will start. I think DeCady gets the nod...much more thletic to fit in with the speed of this team...Sunday will get his 15 minutes or so.
We desperately need another big!

As of last year, Decady and Sunday were foul machines
With only 10 fouls to give in the post, we may have both fell out in about 30 minutes

The clock is ticking only three weeks to go to get another big
Re: 2025-26 MBB
I wasn't there very long, and they were just doing half-court drills. I was a little surprised at how big our guards are.

Are there any home games pre-conference?

Really no surprise. Bigs were always tough to get in a league like the CAA, at a school like HU. Whereas there are always plenty of good guards to go around at all types of D-1 programs, the best bigs generally play at the biggest programs, leaving the mids to fight for scraps with bigs. It was always that way. Now, throw in NIL, and it exacerbates that problem a school like HU.

I just crunched the numbers and I'll compare Stoneybrooks roster to our we have two players on our team that are 6 foot 8 or better. Stony Brook has five players that are 6 foot eight or better.
The average height of stony Brooks players is 77.9 inches. The average height of our players are 76.3 inches.
BTW our website has Edmond listed at 6'1"

Living less than 30 minutes from Drexel, Penn and Temple I LOVE this schedule!EvanJ wrote: ↑Thu Aug 07, 2025 3:25 pmThat means we are playing five games in Philadelphia on three trips, and playing four of the six schools there. The Shadow wrote: ↑Thu Aug 07, 2025 11:03 am Some more D1 Docket schedule information, HU at Temple, Wednesday, November, 19th and Quinnipiac (and our friend Tom Pecora) at HU, Sunday, December 21st.

Fwiw, Mid Major Madness put out a CAA preseason poll today, has us at 11th...

Who knows if we'll be that bad, but do agree that the top 3 should be way better than everyone else, including us

Wow quite dismal so how far the once mighty could have fallen! On paper we seem to be the epitome of mediocrity but then again stranger things have happened.dutchPride86 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 12, 2025 7:02 pm Fwiw, Mid Major Madness put out a CAA preseason poll today, has us at 11th...

Gut feeling our backcourt will be one of the best in the league.

Someone has to be able to shoot besides Cruz or it may be a repeat of last year. Hopefully, at least a couple of other shooters will emerge.
