I've been paying full price (including just a week ago) for "senior tickets"! Many of the seniors are long-time supporters of the program. The fact that HU can't issue a refund for the difference for tickets just purchased is mind blowing. And its not about the $ amount, as most of us would give the monies back to the program in some other way.

Not to make light of this, but it could be a huge compliment. They must all thing you’re real youngins, maybe you’re Hofstra Class of 2018! Haha But yes, they need to rectify this.

This program is great, but there’s so much potential on the fan front, that would do wonderful things for their enrollment, reputation, etc.

Many thanks to you ZMAN for making us aware of something that should be promoted. It's obvious that HU intentionally keeps this a secret not wanting to lose the additional revenue. My gut feeling is to pursue this and if enough of us do we might see some dispensation which we rightly have coming to us!!

So this is the response that I received at least it was timely. I encourage everyone to contact her if this situation is applicable to you.

" You are completely right that I am new to the HU system, and I want to make sure to have a good first interaction with all season ticket holders and fans. This is something that I am going to have to speak with Jerry and the "powers that be" about. I should have an answer for you by the end of the day on Friday. Does that work for you?

Thank you for your patience and understanding!

CTDutch wrote: Mon Aug 12, 2024 6:13 pm Triplec, I received the same answer, and responded to her that was unacceptable. She again said there was nothing she could do. Once I figure
out who above her I can contact, I intend to pursue this.

Cactus, I respectfully disagree. I am 73, drive 1.5 hrs each way to see the games, I don't need to donate additional funds than I already do.
If you don't donate in addition to the tickets and they can't process a refund, maybe they could offer free pride club lounge access for a few games. Hopefully they'll come up with something that makes it right.

I don't remember how I came upon the discount - I never asked about it prior to last year (so this is my second season receiving) Believe it or not it could have been an "innocent" asking about it. Kind of like"I'm old, is there a Senior Citizen Discount for us old guys " Carla said yes and I got it. I don't recall anyone telling me about it - or I'm sure they would have mentioned it here.

Their website actually now calls out youth/senior at $125. So if you have tickets for your children, that should also get that rate.

I don't know how long this has been in effect but they have really been remiss in keeping it from a lot of the older season ticket holders. I see a lot of people in the Pride lounge that certainly seem to fit into this category. Shame on them!

I see that "Premium" is $200 ($22 for a single game), and Senior/Youth/Graduates of the Last Decade are $125 ($12 single game). For the discounted rate is it still Premium seats, or is it Upper Reserved/Lower Endcourt Reserved?
And how old is Senior?

I'm starting to think all these surprise requests and unexpected hit to their budget is going to result in them removing/reducing the discount next year.

Actually like I have suggested to them that they advertise it seems to have gone to fruition. I just got off the phone with Danaiya who called me and he said that they will make the senior discount known moving forward(we'll see) and since I wasn't going to get refunded this year I told them to apply my discount to my tickets for next year. He will get back to me and now thinking about it will I get a double discount next year?? He couldn't really offer me pride lounge since I'm already a member X4!! Hopefully everyone who this applies to will get a fair dispensation. To be continued......

Met Danaiya tonight at the smok-haus event - very nice person and motivated to improve attendance. Hoping for some success in that area!
