Olivia Gulati, who is now the Bayshore high school varsity coach has a star in the making
I believe she is either a sophomore or junior, but is putting up some very impressive numbers with Olivia as her mentor. I am sure she will wind up at Hofstra

You can never have enough pitching and if Venturini is out any period of time we're screwed. She won 2-3 against Stony Brook striking out 17 and pitched the 1 hitter against NC A&T STRIKING OUT 12. She's far and away our best pitcher and only a sophomore. She rehabbed a shoulder problem in the fall but seemed to be pitching fine. Maybe she'll pitch against Villanova on Thursday.

Nice to be able to bring in Villanova to Hempstead to play us. They're 21-17 and we're 14-22. We have played better then our record would indicate but our pitching seems to be our weak point lately as our hitting is really coming around. Giordano has 12 home Runs and was tied for the lead in RBI's with 32 in the CAA. Lets see how we do against a Big East opponent then we travel to Hampton where with any luck we should sweep that series.

So in a tight ball game Nova was winning 1-0 on a sac fly in the top of the 2nd and worked in and out of trouble with walks etc. They were pitching a no hitter thru 5 innings and had a 1-0 lead but we score 4 runs in the bottom 6 the highlight of the inning was a two run homer by Madison McKevitt ph. We win 4-1. A nice win and good pitching from Anna Butler 3.2 only 1 run on 5 hits, Pisapia no runs on 2 hits and Mullin 1 inning no runs on 1 hit. Iaquinto a near Grand slam in the bottom of the 4th drove Villanova left fielder to the wall.

All I can say is that she comes to the game and has a uniform on. That's it. Oh and a smile on her face.

We beat Hampton today 4-3 and for a while we were losing 3-2. We start the freshman Emma Brennan and she doesn't get out of the first inning giving up 3 runs on 5 hits. Pisapia comes in and pitches 6.1 no runs on 4 hits. Nice game for Pisapia who has been pitching well of late. Would have been awful to lose this game.

Got the brooms out and swept Hampton winning 11-1 today. Pisapia gets the win giving up 1 run pitching 5innings. A lot of our starters didn’t play. We now have won 4 in a row.

Huge series this weekend. Hopefully we get all our pitchers back
Have no idea of the extent of injury to Venturini and what’s going on with Nikki Mullen

Yes this is a big series but don't count on Venturini being back. Of late Pisapia has pitched well Mullin has been shaky and Apsel is competitive. Venturini would be a huge plus would normally pitch two of those games.

So we split a doubleheader with Elon today.Lose the first game 8-3. They're 11-4 in 2nd place we're 10-6 in 5th place. WE lose the first game 8-3 Apsel takes the loss but deserved a better fate. She gives up 6 runs all unearned as we make 4 errors. She strikes out 5. Anna Butler gives up 3 hits and two runs pitching 3 innings. A decent performance for both pitchers if we played tight D.

We win the 2nd game and both pitchers don't get out of the 1st inning. Pisapia only getting 1 out giving up 5 hits and three runs Mullin comes in to relieve giving up 7 hits and 4 runs only 1 earned. She walks 3 and strikes out 4. Giordano with a homerun and three rbi's also was walked twice. The pitcher for ELON gives up 4 hits and 6 runs only gets two outs. Only 4 earned. They make 4 errors in this game. Lets hope we win the rubber game tomorrow. If we only had Venturini things would be a lot different.

Win the rubber game today 8-2 with the same pitching match-up of the 1st game of this series. Today however Apsel gets good D behind her. She gave up a 2 run home run in the first then pitched well giving up 2 runs on 5 hits with 6 strikeouts. We now move into 2nd place in the CAA as Elon drops to 3rd place.

If the Elon series was a big series this series against Delaware is a HUGE one. They come in leading the CAA with only 4 losses while we have 6. The NCA&T series hurt us having to exhaust our pitchers without Venturini who could be out for the rest of the season with no info. on what her injury is. Delaware has the second best era in the CAA second to UNCW AT 2.91. We have really been hitting the ball well of late and Giordano has been really good. They have two good pitchers in Emily Winburn and Wroten. It will be a real test for this team. If we can win 2-3 we will wind up tied with Delaware. Senior day also on Sunday with a noon game as we will lose the heart of our team 6 seniors leaving with the biggest loss Giordano. She leads the conference in slugging, RBI's, Home runs and total bases. It will be tough replacing her. Lets go Pride.

The two losses that hurts the most with the third games in the NCA&T and Towson games
Truthfully, we should also be 14-4 instead of12-6

For those that don’t know we played a doubleheader against 1st Pl., Delaware today instead of a doubleheader tomorrow because of the impending rain first game is complete Hofstra comes from behind and wins the first game 7 -5
We are now just one game behind Delaware for first place in the CAA
We scored six runs against the ace Wilburn
Anna Butler came on and relief Aspel and pitched well, and closed out the game

Was at that game for a while then had to leave I was freezing. Should have stayed as they had a big 6th inning. We're losing the 2nd game 7-1 now official we lose 9-1. Mullin gets the loss giving up 6 hits and 4 runs in 2.1 with 1K. Not very impressive as we only get 3 hits. Pisapia pitches 1.1 and gives up 4 hits and 2 runs. She has not pitched well recently. Butler has to pitch the final 3.1 gives up 3 runs on 3 hits ALL UNEARNED. Apsel will have to pitch again tomorrow without Venturini which her absence is really hurting this team.
