If we get desperate we can always invite the inmates at Nassau Correctional facility just down the road. We can call it 'Jailbreak Night". Get your orange and green on.

Just heard coach Krista after the womens victory today. She said it would be nice if we can get some people in the seats for Sundays game. She said you have a team that is 12-3 and in first place in the CAA. It is bad when the coaches are pleading for people to show up. They work so hard the coaches and players deserve better.

I'm a W&M guy, but I recently took advantage of the 3 game mini package being offered by Hofstra in the local newspaper. 3 games, 4 tix each, 4 food vouchers, and a sweatshirt all for 99$. Perfect for me and the family and I passed along to many friends in town with kids. The 3 games are W&M , NE, and CoC, so even better. Again, I'm a Tribe guy, but nice entertainment close by and great with kids. You guys certainly have talent and will be some good battles over the next 2 months.

Well said. It's a TV game on Sunday, and students are still on break. Cheer and dance are at nationals in Florida, so they won't even be there to make noise. Fans are always necessary, but now more than ever. The team deserves to have that support, and it would be good for the school to have a decently filled arena on tv.

When students are on break they need more promotional days to fill the seats.

William & Mary's Women are 11-4, but they have a horrible strength of schedule. Out of their 11 out of conference games, 10 of them were against teams with an RPI of 200th or worse out of 351.

Watching the women's game on SNY, and they just showed an ad for Fairfield men's basketball. I've only ever seen our programs advertised on tv during commercials when we actually had a game on tv.

Whoever is in charge of HU athletic marketing has become the master of marketing something to the people who already know about it - and then expecting that to magically produce an increase in fans - truly amazing someone is getting paid for this, and being trusted with any level of a budget.

Now a women's game wouldn't by first choice anyway to place marketing, but here's a wild and crazy idea: how about marketing in ways and in places that will touch your target demographic who may not even be aware of what you have to offer?? Mind blowing right?

Or how about this, back up one step and find out who your target demographic even is !! Because I would wager few to none in charge of the marketing even know.

It all reeks of blindly slinging mud against the wall to see what sticks - they'd be better off taking that budget and simply giving people 5 or 10 bucks when they come to a game - bet they'd have more fans and spend similarly!!

Totally agree...a great deal but it needs to be PROMOTED externally! Not to people like me who already have season tickets and are coming to the games anyway!

Even though the games were pushed back to Sunday I dont expect a big crowd even though it is a double header. Most Long Islanders will be digging out so they can get to work by Monday. I include myself. After my house I have to make sure my parking lot is cleared for my clients.
