I wonder how much effort is being put into looking at our homegrown talent?

Re: Potential LI recruits
Disregarding LUHI and juniors, Jamel Allen, Mike Almonacy, Steven Torre and Shane Gatling would probably be considered the best. Of them Almonacy and Allen are the only locks to play D1. Almonacy is already committed to stony brook. Allen has a Hofstra offer but they apparently want him to red shirt. Gatling is borderline d1 and has interest from Hofstra no offer. If we're going after Torre it'd probably be as a preferred walk on
Re: Potential LI recruits
Gimmie J Allen all day long ! I'm hoping he's on board with a RS yr to get him here, or they can figure out another selling point - he has big potential - I would even be ok with them offering his brother to help get him here - brother has some ability as well, but Jamel is the big catch - this would be a big local recruiting win IMO for HU to stay ingrained as a real player in the local scene
some other good underclassmen, and nearly anyone from LUHI lol

My feeling is if his grades are in order AND if he's got the right character, then GET HIM! Young man has impact ability, and I love me some star local talent staying local!
