Average Attendance Of Men's Basketball Games I Went To
Average Attendance Of Men's Basketball Games I Went To
I have went to 22 home games and 1 game at Binghamton. The first game I saw was on December 13, 2003 and the last one I saw was on February 22, 2015. Excluding the away game (which got 2,597), the average attendance was 2,652. A game hosting Charlotte on November 24, 2009 got only 783 people, which was less than half of the next lowest game, and that game was part of a doubleheader where Elon (who at that time didn't know they would join the CAA) played Yale. Wins over Drexel on February 25, 2006 (the game before the CAA Tournament) and over Holy Cross on February 17, 2007 (in a BracketBuster) got the highest attendance at 5,047 each. The two middle attendances were 2,513 and 2,572, making the median (mean of those two) 2,542.5. Does anybody know the Mack Sports Complex/Hofstra Arena attendance record?

I mentioned this in a different thread earlier this season- The 2 AE championship games vs. Delaware and the St Johns game in 2005 were all sellouts- 5,124. Some other games come to mind that were very close to sellouts (Maine in 2000, Mason and ODU in 2006). I forgot about that Holy Cross bracket buster game. I was there as well and remember it almost being a sellout.

The Old Dominion NIT game in 2006 got 5,047 and the George Mason game in 2006 got 4,210. The St. John's game was on December 11, 2004, not in 2005.

That Holy Cross game was definitely a sellout. Only time I ever had to sit way up in the corner section!Dooku25 wrote:I mentioned this in a different thread earlier this season- The 2 AE championship games vs. Delaware and the St Johns game in 2005 were all sellouts- 5,124.
