Too bad about Green - thought he had real good upside. He was only a freshman. Plenty of room for growth. No real depth at the position.

Why is Schutte upset about this?

My mistake. I wrongly thought that KS transferred to the same school.

Yeah, I liked Green, lot of upside - he did have a pretty rough year 1 though, shot awful - maybe just not the right fit for him afterall

And I hope folks on here seeing the Louisville transfer going to Grand Canyon lightens up the heavy inferiority complex I'm seeing with Gray - this happens every year on here, HU goes after a nice talent and for some reason people think no way could HU really be in the running... yet they land 3 star higher conf level talent every single year lol

This staff, and the last one, and Pecora's, can really recruit - I would think we have some confidence by now - this is a program with a LOT to offer. It happened with Carlos too, I called it among the doubt, and here he comes in the fall. HU can and should and will land talent a shade above it's weight. Esp now after the tourney bid.

And P5 talent transfers to mids all the time - there's no need for the woe is us stuff. Gray isn't a 5 star guy mulling over the NBA. He, and other 3 stars like him (as in every player Speedy and Co have landed in just their first year), are well within reach.

OK so since I can't even hear crickets anymore how about the ludicrous idea of us recruiting Moussa Cisse here. We had discussed this somewhere in a past thread. He was getting 18+ minutes averaging 6+ points a game at Memphis. AAC rookie of the year but even that couldn't keep him from transferring. Here he gets 35 minutes a game give or take and takes us to the promise land. How tough would HU be to beat with this guy here and the rest of our present cast?? He's from Middle Village played at Christ The King. Here's the REAL CHALLENGE FOR SPEEDY AND COMPANY!! Are u hearing this Speedy??

How about this one? San Antonio Brison a 6-8 210 power forward from NJIT just entered the transfer portal... He averaged 9.3 points and 3.9 rebounds last year. Maybe he will want to join his teammate who is already at Hofstra

Interesting - over the past 2 season SAB was 2nd in minutes only Cooks had more minutes at NJIT - both SAB and Cooks played and started all their games at NJIT last year - both are from Georgia - hmmmmmmmm

Is he a power forward or a true center At 210 pounds he might be a little light to bang with the bigger centers in the league

Definitely not a true center. Might be a good backup or split time guy with Kvon. Nice mid range game, shoots some threes, good size.

Video of his 37 pt scoring game attached. Note that they had a true center in while Brinson played PF.

How about a guy like 3 star Akeem Odusipe (6'9" 230lbs). Transferring out of Vanderbilt after his freshman season. Not looking at big time P5s to transfer to (Longwood, Morgan State, San Diego, Kent State).

The high school video (seen in the attached link) shows a very athletic big who can really run the floor. Imagine he's improved after a season of workouts at Vandy. Type of guy who could do extremely well in the CAA and garner lots of minutes on a team like HU.

I still think they are playing Cramer/Simmons at the 5 and going 4 guards too many talented transfers that need minutes

Sorry cactus I don't see Cramer PLAYING THE 5 I believe he would get into foul trouble quick there and he's not that big. I know he plays bigger then his size but he's going to be someone who's going to demand attention outside the ARC. He has a developing 3 point shot and the 4 suits him perfectly IMO. It's a good point you make though what do we do with all these talented guards assuming they all are eligible to play.

Arkansas big man Abayomi Iyiola (6-9, 230, from Atlanta) has committed to Hofstra.

Previously averaged 10.1 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 0.7 bpg in 32 games (2017-18) and 10.8 ppg, 7.6 rpg, 1.2 bpg in 31 games (2018-19) for Stetson.
Only played one minute for Arkansas last year after a redshirt there.

Will have two seasons remaining.

Thanks wags. Legit size and seems to have had some success in the past, at stetson.
