Re: 2019-20 schedule news
And I see that many of the OOC tournaments are being posted. None of them show HU playing. Hopefully we will hear something soon.
Actually more interested in hearing what the playing roster will be this season!

On the site SB Nation, there is a location that lists the early season 2019-2020 college basketball tournaments with dates and participants. So far, HU has not been listed.
Re: 2019-20 schedule news
I hear we are playing in some kind of tournament in South Florida plus a West Coast non-conference trip.

Re: 2019-20 schedule news
HUSID74, Is it possible the West Coast trip includes a return game with HU's 2018-19 opponent Cal St Fullerton? Also, there are about 4 Florida Tournaments on the SB Nation site I mentioned that do not have a complete listing of all the participating colleges.

I heard it is this game plus a power 5 conference opponent. Not sure if there would be more games than these two on the trip. The Shadow wrote:HUSID74, Is it possible the West Coast trip includes a return game with Cal St Fullerton?

The only power5 conference opponents I can think of in California are USC, UCLA, Stanford, and California.

Re: 2019-20 schedule news
So, the conclusion is two games in Southern California versus Cal St Fullerton and UCLA. Add the Stony Brook game, and at least two in Florida to come to a total of about 5 so far. The college 2019-20 season begins on Election Day, Tuesday, November 5th.

I think we'll play another game on the West Coast making it three. The Shadow wrote:So, the conclusion is two games in Southern California versus Cal St Fullerton and UCLA. To HUSID74, That probably makes the West Coast trip last at least 5 to 7 days. So, now the total is 6 games that we are aware of out of the 10 or 11 that are usually scheduled for out of conference.

Re: 2019-20 schedule news
We usually play one cupcake game against a D2 school would like to see us play Adelphi their AD is Danny McCabe and their head basketball coach is David Duke add in asst coach Mike Claxton and you have a family reunion
Re: 2019-20 schedule news
Well if there are to be 3 games in Cali, and likely 2-3 games in Florida, the majority of the remaining OOC games should be home games at the Mack. We know SB and the D2 games will be home. Likely a bunch of opponents from the NEC and MAAC. Would love to get an A10 team to come to the Mack (other than Fordham). StBon came once - maybe there's a home and home again.
Re: 2019-20 schedule news
LaSalle and St' Joe's came to the Mack as well. Although St. Joe's was for the NIT I think.
Re: 2019-20 schedule news
I think George Washington of the A 10 came to the Mack as well.
Re: 2019-20 schedule news
The NIT game with St Joe's was a nice road win for us.
Re: 2019-20 schedule news
It makes sense to play at least two games in California. When Cal State Fullerton came to us, they did it after 3 games in the Myrtle Beach Invitational. They wouldn't fly across the country just to be us unless we paid a lot. The Shadow named the P5 teams in California. I'm not saying it will happen, but I would be fine with going to Cal State Fullerton and a Mountain West team like Nevada (probably too hard), UNLV, Fresno State, New Mexico, Utah State, Boise State, etc. It would also be a challenge to go to New Mexico State, who dominates the WAC.
One thing to think about is if we will continue playing Kennesaw State alternating who hosts.
Here are 39 teams in D.C. and north through Maine who we haven't played in over ten years:
Albany (never)
American (1983-1984)
Boston College (1991-1992)
Brown (1988-1989)
Bryant (never)
Buffalo (1993-1994)
Cornell (1984-1985)
Dartmouth (2005-2006)
Delaware State (never)
Duquesne (1976-1977)
Fairfield (2009-2010 so it will be ten years if we don't play them in 2019-2020)
Georgetown (1971-1972)
Harvard (never)
Howard (1990-1991)
Lafayette (1989-1990)

Re: 2019-20 schedule news
Anyone know why we don’t play Iona anymore? I thought the Cluess-Hofstra matchup was awesome and both teams play an uptempo high scoring style.
