MBB recruits 2017

I find it very odd that there has been an announcement for Wormley considering there are other spots to fill, and as noted, another before him in Ray with no announcement.

What has once been what I considered a strength of this staff, is quickly becoming alarming to me. This recruiting cycle is really questionable, and I am very concerned about what the staff is going to do here. Pretty scary that it's already days into the signing period, schools around the country are hosting visit after visit and landing commits, and there is not an OUNCE of news or info coming from HU.

I get the challenges for these guys, but there is simply no excuse for this. Every other mid and most in the CAA face the same challenges. Only the W could claim easier recruiting due to the NCAAT success.

Where is the class JM & Co.??? Where are the impact players??? Where is the #1 need for goodness sake???

If Ray goes to prep school we will have 10 players A couple of injuries and we are in deep doo doo. That does not include if someone transfers out

Illinois State (which gave us Zeke Upshaw)has a productive 4 that is transferring. He is a redshirt Junior so he may need to sit a year unfortunately. In our never ending search for a 4, how about Hans Braase from Princeton (fine player, recovering from a knee injury) for one year and have the Illinois State kid (Mikyle McIntosh) ready to replace him the following season?
We may need to be creative at this point.

I agree although I was a little disappointed we left 2 scholarships on the table last year. This year they must fill all available as we have 5 coming off the books next year.

Hey Stu...you only see Pemba scoring 10 ppg after he averaged 12.8 as a freshman??

that would be a major letdown - Pemba needs to put up at least 15/game this season.

4/20/2017 - 2017 PG Teyvion Kirk (6-4, 185, 2★) committed to Ohio.
4/19/2017 - JUCO PG Deishuan Booker (6-3, 180, 2★) committed to Long Beach State.
4/17/2017 - 2017 SF Lucas Williamson (6-5, 185, 2★) committed to Loyola (IL).

5/17 - time is moving fast and nothing but silence.

It's not about how hard they're working or how many guys they are 'trying' to get, it's how many and who they are CLOSING.

Failing to make the NCAAT Green's Sr year was a major negative, and as I noted a year ago, an epic failure. I think it's starting to show. This staff and team better win next year, or it's going to be a brutal sell going forward.

And JM ain't getting any younger.

My skeptism is at an all-time high that they will produce an impact class and fill every need with the proper talent. Hope they have some magic up their sleeves.

May be plenty of time and plenty of players HUSID80 but each day those players are choosing other schools and less are available to Hofstra....if we wait too long we will be stuck with the "LEFTOVERS'. That is NOT what we want.
