Cole has really put together just a top notch team, and it came through last night from the quality of the documentary to the interactions with the staff and players. Good people, hard workers, and people who care. Just a tremendous event. The documentary brought back all the ups and downs and joy from the season - did not feel bittersweet at all about all the guys leaving. Really felt the sense of community there with everyone who experienced the run. Hopefully Poser (who was in attendance and did a good amount of talking in the documentary) really means what she said in it - and will better work together (and invest more) with athletics to elevate hofstra's academic profile and brand recognition, and continue building that community of fans.

Also got to speak to Preston's dad who was in attendance, and let him know I'm thankful for everything Preston gave last year and rooting for him the rest of his career. Super glad I was able to do that.

well said Cactus and it is awesome to see his family attend the event. I also loved that German went out of his way to attend as we know how rough the commute to Hofstra can be from FDU. I got to speak to him before and thank him for hitting that clutch late trey in the CAA finals and couldn't have been nicer.

Wish that German was on OUR staff! Great communicator, his speech was the best, and his enthusism for the program is off the charts!

Agree with what has been written here a nice event and kinda of a bit of basketball for all our anxious fans who can't wait to see some games. German speech was great and his sense of humor was on full display. Even the incoming players were applauding him. In the footage of this documentary when showing clips from the NCAA game they seem to go quickly to the final score after showing a lot of our highlights. This was a disconnect for me I would have liked to have seen the scoreboard showing us down by 5 with about 5 remaining. The documentary showed the final score 90-70 but in reality we all know the games was much closer then the final score indicated.

Just feel like German will get his feet wet at FDU but will eventually find his way home!! Seems inevitable.

I overall felt documentary nailed it in terms of highlighting key moments/plays in the CAA game/ Only thing I think is often overlooked that would have liked to have seen was Cruz's clutch two free throws to put us up four after we got major scare with their four-point play cutting it to 71-69.

Thanks for the reports everyone, this sounds like it was a big success - I was traveling and couldn't attend, but very eager to see the documentary - and really pleased to hear of the players and families that came back to celebrate, kudos to HU and all who made it happen.

Watched this documentary, and I thought it was 10 out of 10. What a fantastic piece - KUDOS to the HU Admin, they are finally stepping up their game - this was really excellent!
