We beat UNCW today6-1
We now play Campbell at 5:30 today
Win that game and we play Charleston tomorrow for the championship but we have to beat them twice. They only have to beat us once since it's a double elimination tournament.

This is the story line it will be a tough task but this team is rolling right now and believing in themselves. They can pull this off if they can score some runs since the pitching has been good only giving up 1 run in two games to two good hitting teams. https://gohofstra.com/news/2026/5/9/sof ... nship.aspx

Really no need to say more it was a really good season for HU softball and the team should be proud of what they have accomplished along with the coaching staff. Kudos to Susan Cassidy-Lyke for coach of the year honors in her 1st season here.

I believe the 13 Ks are a CAA playoff game record.

Circling back to say a solid season in conf for this group - congrats on making the CAA champ game, outmatched but that was a strong first year for this staff and group, esp after the non-conf - now they can take this and build on it - year 2 needs to be special. We need a much better OOC to test and season, and we need to level up our roster for more consistency.

Looks like we do in fact have a good one in SCL, congrats on the COY award - next season will tell me a lot - want to see tangible progression and a conf champ for the NCAA's. Let's get HU softball back up top where it belongs!

Looking ahead to next year, looks like we have a solid pitcher from Boston area coming in, McCoy Walsh, who had 13 strikeouts in state finals win this weekend. https://archive.ph/FsB0N

I mean... Delaware? Really?

I know they're CUSA now, but still, seems like an odd one to lose someone to these days.

Alas, we absolutely need to upgrade this roster, and this rookie coming in does look to be a stud(ette) - looking forward to her arrival.

I'm stepping out of my element here, but it appears that our softball team is off to a strong start with three young transfers joining the aforementioned Boston freshman on our 2026-27 roster:

McCoy Walsh
FR Pitcher
King Philip Regional HS, Wrentham, MA

Excellent, thanks Jojo - I'm no softball expert, but very confident in my assessment that this program needs a stronger OOC and more talent on the roster next season. They did well in year 1 with what they had, and knocked on the door, but didn't finish. Those two things will help get the job done next time.

These additions look strong, great progress - do we know if they are done, or more to come?

I forget, when do we find out the schedule overall?
