This might be their best lineup overall, because of the athleticism. I like German as a 6th man who can sub in for either forward position.daHUPride wrote: ↑Thu Dec 04, 2025 2:29 pm Watched it on TV - I came away thinking we have amore athletic team then in the past -
Onuetu - is a big fast (potential) beast
DeCady - had a couple of nice moves around the hoop
Patterson - has some skill
Cruz - our best player
Edmead - has been a freshman surprise
these are the 5 i want on the floor defending a late lead

I’m not totally sold on DeCady starting over German since German is the real face of Hofstra having been here so many years and has done whatever the coaching staff has asked him to do. However DeCady has opened my eyes on some of the games he has had this year and he brings passion to this team. An interesting predicament for Speedy but one thing for sure German is a far better 3 point shooter!

I would like to see them continue to start German who I believe has earned that spot but should McCady improve his three point shooting and continue to build upon the small flashes he has shown in recent games the coaches my have to take a look at the situation again and decide what they think is best for the team...I believe MCady will develop into a very effective player by the time he is a senior which hopefully will be at Hofstra

Above should be DeCady

I think it depends on opponents and matchups, although you also want to get everyone settled into specific roles this time of year, leading into CAA play.triplec2195 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 05, 2025 4:30 pm I’m not totally sold on DeCady starting over German since German is the real face of Hofstra having been here so many years and has done whatever the coaching staff has asked him to do. They had problems with moving Sanders in and out of the starting lineup initially, and the down-the-line effect that had, until he just fell out of the rotation basically altogether. So, it's maybe good to be flexible based on matchups (a good problem to have if you can go between DeCady and Plotnikov), but sticking with established roles and not varying much from those (once you decide on them) may be more fruitful for what they're trying to eventually accomplish in March.

So Stony blew a 16 point lead with under 4 to play and wound up in OT... only to win anyway.stuball888 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 09, 2025 9:43 pm Is Stony Brook is blowing Columbia off the court in three minutes left they lead by 13
Just like how Quinnipiac ruined a good chunk of the fun of beating Pitt by beating them first, Stony now makes our Columbia loss look terrible. Brutal
Just have to get our revenge on both head to head!

Columbia scored more points in the last 3:14 of the second half than in all of the first half. Columbia never led. Columbia is 9-2, so it does not mean it was a bad loss for us.
