Re: Re: Hofstra softball 2026
Freshman Madison Steppe picks up rookie of the week honors for the second time this year pitching a 1 hitter against Monmouth. Outstanding regular season for Madison hopefully she carries this over in to the CAA tourney. She's now 9-0 in CAA play. https://gohofstra.com/news/2026/5/4/softball-steppe...

Re: Search to replace Tom Parrotta
Like to see a more local guy with connections to the City or at least the area. This should be a pretty desirable job IMO.

Re: Men's Lacrosse 2026
Brutal season punctuated by that horrendous showing against CAA leader Towson. Something needs to be done with this program...we're going down the toilet.

Re: NCAA Tournament Thread
It would not be ideal to be in the play-in round but it Would give us a better chance of winning a first round game and getting a second game in the dance.

Re: Men's Lacrosse 2026
100% Shadow, outside of Amplo, I would be ALL IN on Unterstein - that's a home run hire IMO. Local product, HU legend, stud pro career, super coaching resume, lots of connections, great reputation, history of leading defense and face-offs (2 of our glaring needs), and still relatively young - check...

Yeh when Pete Carlesimo was the Wagner coach they used to press us to death! He was a real good coach!triplec2195 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 24, 2026 1:53 pm I never thought of that when I posted but good idea. I don't remember the last time we played Wagner but do remember in the Roger Gaeckler era we played them regularly.

With two new 7 footers I'm not so sure Sunday would fir into our plans for next year. Would however take Biggie as this roster as currently configured needs some wings as Polito has also advocated for..

Surprised to see him throwing the ball for the MUTTS...why not the Yankees? Randy Levine is on our BOD, couldn't they work something out?

Re: 2026 Transfer Portal
It would be nice if we could keep them for two years like Cruz...at least get something back for our investment in these kids. The Victory move to Wisconsin is surprising...I guess athletic big menare at a premium. It will be interesting to see how these three perform on a bigger stage.

Re: 2026 Transfer Portal
This all sucks, especially after the high or winning the CAA and dancing...unfortunately college sports is broken and I fear it will never be the same.
All that's left is to cheer for the laundry...no more opportunities to watch kids develop...real shame.
