Was pleasantly surprised to see us included in this slideshow at link above as the number eight best college for men's lacrosse given our recent struggles. Ironically they used a 2006 photo of team for the slide from when USA Today ran huge spread on Hofstra and Danowski before the NCAA tourney.

Unfortunately that does not translate into wins.

True but is still cool to be included. We have hit a rough patch, but am cautiously optimistic next year will be much better.

Why? Was Seth Tierney fired? imprisoned? kidnapped? executed? Those are you're only chances at a respectable HOFSTRA Lacrosse season.

I think they take different factors into their rating system. Facilities, graduation rate, and tradition. recent results are not there but we do have a rich history including the very first Twewarreten (sp) winner in Doug Shanahan.

This is all the more reason to make immediate major changes to the coaching staff - always said HU lax has NO excuse not to be a force, a consistent top 15 team - this shows I'm not the only one - and it also shows how pitiful a job ST has done with a program with powerhouse potential

And no, they haven't 'hit a rough patch', they have had absolute sh!t coaching and weak recruiting for the last few yrs

And no, there's zero reason for any cautious optimism nonsense for the umpteenth yr - the program has been brought to shambles and the staff needs to go.
