https://gohofstra.com/news/2021/2/21/wo ... pener.aspx is titled "WSOC: Hofstra Defeats Stony Brook in Season Opener." We came back from down 1-0 and 2-1 to win 4-3. Allowing 3 goals is bad. In 22 games in 2019 we only allowed at least 3 goals three times, which were against Penn State, Rutgers, and NCAA Tournament opponent Stanford.

Evan even though we are something like 10-3 against SBU they have always played us tough Remember their coach was Simons assistant for 8 years

I wouldn't sweat three goals since first game and one of them was from a bogus PK call. Big season opening win and showed character bouncing back from two one-goal deficits.

BC down this year but always great to beat an ACC team and great confidence boost heading into CAA play.

Womens soccer with a very impressive win over NU 3-0 NU is a defensive team which was giving up about .50 goals a game We have only 8 shots but made them count Sabrina Bryan the human highlight reel had a goal and 2 helpers She is absolutely deadly on corners kicks and might be best at that in the NCAA Congrats to Simon and his staff

Best team on campus continues to impress. Hopefully can go unbeaten so that if we get tripped up in CAA Tourney we can still be considered for at-large, although will be tougher this year with only 48-team field.

Women's soccer has taken the position of softball in that regard.

Not that this team needs anymore good news but if I am not mistaken maybe someone can answer this question Because of Covid do our seniors on this team be eligible to come back next year If so then we can get another year out of Lucy Porter Sabrina Bryan Lucy Shepherd Jorden Littleboy and Amanda Ebberson

With an advance degree paid for by scholarship it would be a great opportunity for these student athletes
