Love to see this-- kid looks like a winner. Hard not to make an immediate Jose Alvarado comparison... sign me up for that!

Wow, love seeing a signing for this next class already! Not ranked or highly officially rated yet, but love his numbers, looks to be a stud PG, which is the #1 more important spot in college hoops. Smaller kid, but I'm gonna trust Speedy's selection in PG's all day.

Lot to learn about him, let's see how he finishes his HS time.

According to ChatGPT, ESPN ranks German as the #32 PG prospect nationally. Sorry, I don’t have a link to that ranking.

Gotta like seeing that he's 4 stars on ESPN.

Always hard to gauge how legit these stars are on ESPN and when it was last updated, but other strong prospects in the past like Buie, Preston, and our newest guy Xavier Blake were also 3 or 4 stars.

Thanks for the links, HU87.

Yandel has a ton of game highlights on his Instagram page:

Fenom13 also has scenes from Yandel's recent campus visit:

On Instagram, @fenom13 is the official community page for former St. John's star and NBA player Felipe Lopez. Lopez's organization focuses on youth basketball in the Bronx.

Yandel already has one benefactor in his corner:

I hope Yandel stays for more than one year, but he could explode even higher than Preston did.

Thanks guys for the follow up and the links, I gladly stand corrected - didn't see any rating on 247, so figured he may just not have been evaluated yet. But looks like some other services have, and he's a good one as those go - great to see, and expect nothing less from Speedy when it comes to PG's

I'll take an ESPN 4 star all day every day. Let's get this kid in and turn him into a star. And you guys need to stop wishing for multiyear guys, it's just not the goal anymore and it isn't realistic. I want stars and NCAAT's, and the better the player the more desireable he'll be to P4's - that's exactly what we want, and it's what will keep kids even bothering to come here.

Take em as long as you have them, and get comfortable rebuilding each year. Such is the way as it stands today. Embrace the chaos folks.

We have another commitment, from a shooting guard named Christian Fuller. Looks like he's from Florida (lots of Southern interest) plus a handful of Ivy offers:

Christian just transferred to LI Lutheran for his senior year. Here are his stats from Victory Christian Academy in Florida:

I like these two early commits. Based on short video, both kids look pretty talented.

I'm thinking that if the proposed "one free transfer" rule ends up going into effect, these kids are much more likely to stick around for multiple years. Maybe Speedy is thinking the same and is stocking up on young talent with long-term development in mind.

Fuller looks like a combo guard
Has a good handle passes well has good outside shot and can pull up from mid range
Can anyone say Aaron Estrada

Reading in Newsday this morning that the senate passed a bill to finally pull the reins in on this NIL lunacy so now the bill goes to the house. Hopefully this will be a start to limit this wild, wild west craziness in college sports.

Awesome, love it, welcome aboard young man! Like his size at the PG spot, looks like an excellent shooter - doesn't strike me as overly quick or fast or super athletic, but instead is more sound, controlled, and heady - comes across as a solid and steady floor leader in his highlights, and has a sweet shot - he can put points on the board, and an excellent student to boot

We NEVER get kids from LuHi, so that will be an added bonus - granted a back door way in lol but still a kid playing at LuHi nonetheless! Seems like a player on the rise from this summer, will be very interested to see how he finishes up his hs time this year

Staff is crushing it on the trail - let's get those bigs in too!
