We start the season 3-0 with one more game to play later today against Binghamton, who we swept the last time we saw them
Team is experienced and very deep
This might be one of Emily's best teams here at Hofstra

Hopefully Stu we did lose some really good players but we have done a good job getting replacements. Lets wait to see how we do in the CAA.

We win the Black Knights invitational at West Point and improve our record to 4-0
Up next is Fordham.

We moved to 5-0 with 4 set win over Fordham university
Team won a close first set lost the second set
Then coach Mansur made adjustments and we played much better in the third and fourth set to close out the match
Can't state enough about how deep this team is

Yeah this could be a special year and doing this after losing Chiara Cucco, Alves and Cinel. Very impressive.

Tomorrow we play Temple at home

We extend our perfect season to 7-0 with a tough fought 4 set win over a very good Temple team

Now 8-0 after three game sweep of UNCW

A very easy win today for us just domination especially in the first set.

Scores were 25-17 25-18 25-14

Hofstra moves to 9-0 on the season
And 2-0 in conference

This tied our best start ever correct. This is a very versatile team that’s getting strong contributions from freshman. Really impressive play.

The 25 ranked teams and next 6 are in the Power Four plus Big East, so it will be hard to get votes as a mid-major. Western Kentucky, UC Santa Barbara, and Cal Poly are the only mid-majors listed. UC Santa Barbara and Cal Poly are in the Big West, so maybe the Big West is among the top mid-majors. Going to RPI goes to last season, so I cannot find out if we have a better RPI than teams with votes. Last year Dayton of the Atlantic 10 was the only one of the top 28 in the RPI from outside the Power Four plus Big East. I live an hour from Number 1 Nebraska.

If we get through half of the CAA schedule and we're still undefeated, we have a shot at getting some votes
Still does not a top 25 team in our schedule
The front end of the CAA schedule is very weak

We lost to Charleston 3-2 two days in a row.

Bumped to the top
So after a loss weekend in Charleston, we come home and sweep Elon easily
Our records stands 4-2 in conference and we're tied for second
We travel on the road to Virginia to play Hampton, which should be an easy sweep
We have been fighting injuries and a few freshmen got playing time against Elon
We can continue to develop these freshmen
And get them ready for the big showdown against Towson in a few weeks
