Hofstra MBB on a Sunday afternoon? Sounded weird when I first saw the schedule, but who knew there would be no NY NFL games on at that time?

This will be the second of three games in five days for the Dutch. Hope we save some points for the game at USF on Tuwesday.

don't want to get overly optomistic, but I hope we can get enough of a lead to let all palyers get minutes and starters to get some rest.

First key non-conf stretch of games, see how they handle 3 in a row - agreed the team needs to come out much stronger to start and put the next 2 teams away early to get ready for tough USF test

Think this team will need a 'signature' type OOC win, and it's really either USF and LaSalle...

Wish I could have seen more, but seems like it was a thoroughly dominated game by Hofstra.

Hofstra won 93-71 due to three-pointer shooting (Hofstra 10-17 for 58.8% and Wanger 6-27 for 22.2%). Hofstra attempted 49 free throws and Wagner attempted 13. Juan'ya Green had 24 points and 11 assists.

Edit: Hofstra's +36 free throws attempted differential is their best from 2000-2001 to now.

Edit: http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=400596041 is the Associated Press recap titled "Hot-shooting Hofstra beats Wagner 93-71."

This is a game that they are supposed to win and did - handily! Good shooting all around. Interesting that JAM used full court pressure almost the entire second half, even though we were up by 20 to 30 pts. I assume the team has been working on it and he wants to get it right before they play tougher teams and they really need it.

Kone it no longer using a cane to walk - looks like he's improving. Gustys did not play the second half - he was walking around OK, but it looked like he might have told JAM he was getting tight or had a cramp or something. No reason to push things this early and with a big lead.

and in other news..Tommy God is losing by 11 to UMass Lowell on SNY currently. He is running the same horrible offense I saw at HU for 10 years.. Jimmy Hall had 26 for Kent State in loss. C of C beat Mason. Sun is shining today

Former Hofstra MBB player Dwan McMillan was on Wagner's bench as a graduate manager.

The attendance was only 1,392, which decreases our average from 2,467 after two home games to 2,109 after three home games.

Guys of the Fordham boards calling for TP to be fired immediately. Not happy campers there.

Fordham started that game up 13-4. Lost 64-57. To a team that's been DI for a whole year now. Yikes....

it may have taken years to Wright the ship around here, but at least we're looking up now. I still call it a good move.

TPs time is winding down if he doesn't produce this yr IMO

Interesting about the attendance because the radio guys actually called it out as being solid... But I'm not going nuts about it yr 2 - more important things this yr

Very happy to see HU bury teams they should - still a work in progress but figured should be a 20 pt win, and they came thru

I know its still early but I'm really expecting a LOT more from Bernardi and Nichols... would like them much more consistent

Gustys started on fire and then didn't play much else, hope he's ok - he is a MUST at FULL capacity for USF

Green and Tanskley bring SO much to the table, super tandem - jacked to have them 2 yrs

Really pleased with Robinson thus far - not a star at this point, but having a nice start to soph yr, where a slump can be a concern - exciting to see a team with multiple weapons!

Another BIG road test next...really hoping for a much better showing than the last - ROLL PRIDE

Post game presser JM said the lob-sidedness of the game allowed them to rest Gustys, who has a sore leg - to paraphrase
