2019-2020 Game 10 at St. Bonaventure: 12/7/2019 at 2:30 P.M.
https://gohofstra.com/news/2019/12/5/me ... nture.aspx is Hofstra's preview titled "MBB: Hofstra Returns To Empire State For Visit To St. Bonaventure."
https://s3.amazonaws.com/sidearm.sites/ ... game10.pdf is Hofstra's Game Notes. Mihalich is 1 win away from tying Jay Wright for fifth in Hofstra history with 122. Page 7 lists the CAA consecutive free throws made streak Top 10. As I posted somewhere else, the CAA record is 45 by VCU's Willie Taylor in 2001-2002. Buie has 33, which is one behind the ninth place tie of James Madison's Paulius Satkus in 2016-2017 and Drexel's Frantz Massenat in 2011-2012. Nine of the ten longest streaks were while we were in the CAA, with the only older streak being 35 by James Madison's Kent Culuko in 1993-1994. The team and player statistics have a new look made by the NCAA.
The game will be on ESPN Plus. One month of ESPN Plus with hundreds (maybe over 1,000) games in many sports is cheaper than one day of the Boca Raton Beach Classic. Hofstra provided the wrong link. They gave the link to our Women's game at Fairfield, which will be tomorrow at 2:00 P.M. The Men and Women probably don't play at the same time much.
St. Bonaventure has not made a preview yet. Against common opponents, they did the opposite of us with a loss at Canisius and a win in Boca Raton over San Diego. Other than if one or both teams make the postseason, we will not have any more common opponents with St. Bonaventure.
https://gobonnies.sbu.edu/sports/m-bask ... 7_b3jt.xml will have statistics.

I believe this will be a tough one for us. The Bonnies are always tough to play in Olean, NY and to make matters worse, they are honoring their Final Four team and the game is expected to be a sellout.
Also, not sure of Jalen Ray's status...he has a sprained ankle and really didn't play vs. Canisius.
Sagarin has us ranked 116th in the country with a rating of 75.31. The Bonnies are ranked 151 with a rating of 72.93...the site lists the home court advantage at 3.18 points making St Bonnie something like and half point favorite.

Yes Bonaventure is a tough team at home and they have some size which could be problematic for us. Their center 6'10" Osunniyi averages 10 points a game while pulling down 7.3 rebounds and it looks like he comes off the bench averaging 23.8 minutes. Ikpeze another 6'10" C starts averaging 6.5 points a game and 4.6 rebounds. Our guards should be more then up to the task and our stats across the board are superior to theirs. FG% 40.2 OURS 45.5, 3% 31.6 TO OURS 36.1, POINTS SCORED 511 OR 296th OURS 738 or 22nd and we out rebound them 37.9 to 35.1. Statistics don't always tell the story so we'll have to see how the crowd plays into this game. Also whether or not Jalen is 100% which will hurt us if he's not as we saw in the last game. I wonder if Coburn comes back to his old school looking to make a statement here??

https://gobonnies.sbu.edu/sports/m-bask ... 1206j6hpxr is St. Bonaventure's preview titled "Bonnies To Host Hofstra Saturday As Part of Final Four, Centennial Celebration Weekend." It says "The St. Bonaventure men's basketball team returns home to the Reilly Center Saturday afternoon as winners of three straight and will entertain a dangerous Hofstra club that is off to a hot start."

Bonnies open as a 2.5 point favorite. Princeton game is also on ESPN+ so it should be worth the $5 to get it. I’m not expecting a ton tomorrow considering the travel and Jaylen not being 100% but hopefully they can put up a fight. Have to think Tareq will be up for this one.

I already signed up for at least one month it's a no brainer at $5. I also hope that Coburn won't be trying to do too much in this game but will have a big game. His shooting has been off but his overall game is so solid that he compensates for off shooting nights. His rebounding has been huge so far this year.Hof_Judge99 wrote:Bonnies open as a 2.5 point favorite. Princeton game is also on ESPN+ so it should be worth the $5 to get it. http://defiantlydutch.blogspot.com/2019 ... nture.html is Jerry Beach's "I'll Be Quirky: St. Bonaventure." The 64-57 win over Canisius was a Unicorn Score (first time that score happened in Hofstra history). We have five Unicorn Scores, which is a majority of our games, and halfway to our ten Unicorn Scores last season.

We went from down 2-0 to up 8-2. https://gobonnies.sbu.edu/sports/m-bask ... 7_b3jt.xml has the statistics, which haven't started, by St. Bonaventure has 5 fouls in under 5 minutes. Coburn and Jaren English have 2 fouls. English averages 9.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.7 assists. Now it's 11-4.

SB goes on a 20-4 run. We shoot one and done. On the other end we have zero rebounding, SB get second and third shots. Yikes!
up to a 20-0 run!
Total breakdown in all aspects

This is exactly what I was afraid of. I understand it is the end of a long trip but man this is humiliating. A good team doesn’t just get manhandled like this. SB is 15-21 from the field! You can’t do that in a video game!

Down 16 with 3 left in half. We look terrible. IK and TC each have 3 fouls. Two SB starters also have 3 fouls each

Coburn is a junior, you shoot free throws on an offensive foul. The worst!

I only saw part of the first half since espn wasn’t working on my computer. I thought I heard that SB hit 7 of 10 three attempts? Our zone too soft tons of fouls and with a lot of fouls called it will be interesting to see who fouls out in this game.Regardless terrible D.

The announcers are pathetic! Too bad there are more important things to be concerned with regarding this game

I believe we need to take it to the basket in the second half maybe foul out some players and get to the foul line!

They called Jalen Ray “Allen” and Pemberton just hit the "back end" of a 1 and 1. Also my god is Isaac Kante bad.
