The Molloy 2021-22 schedule is posted, and it lists a game at HU on Wednesday, November 24 at 7:00. This is the night before Thanksgiving, so I wonder about the possible attendance total.
Yeah that sounds about right a local D2 team to beat up on. Good for local sports interest.

We're already playing a D2 team -- Molloy.

Thanks HM and HUSID

Seems like not so great of a schedule for season ticket holders this yr - only 3-4 games, one D2 exhibition, is really pretty bad - not much value, esp with lounge access extra - that doesn’t seem great to me, should be included with season ticket purchase, and a separate cost for non holders.

But not an enormous cost either way, just an opinion overall.

Def like the idea of donating as well for benefits too.

Anyone have any idea what the suite costs are for a game? I was fortunate to get in a couple of times through some connects, but not through purchase yet - I know can call, and will, just curious to anyone’s experience here…

Same old story for a school like Hofstra. They did a great job on the OOC schedule this year overall, really challenging themselves, but the likes of Houston, Maryland, Arkansas ain't coming to Hempstead, so a school like HU has to go play them there. At least they got three of those opportunities. And Detroit is a good game at home. Princeton and Bucknell are solid home games. Would have been nice to get one of the two, between Richmond and Duquense, at home, but just that they're playing both (especially after the win at Richmond last year) is also real good. Not too great for the home fans, as you said, but overall, it's one of the best OOC slates in a long time for HU. Really excited to see how they fare against this OOC schedule - should be great prep for CAA play afterwards.

We go to five teams in the Big Ten, SEC, AAC, or A10; host a non-Division I team, and host half of the mid-majors. 12 non-conference games is 1 less than the usual 13 before Covid. We have two road trips of at least 5 games for the first time since 1992-1993

Well, I guess that confirms the D1 Docket list previously posted. I wonder why it took HU so many days to release the OOC schedule that other colleges had listed on their own websites.

To stuball888, There are times listed on a few of HU's opponents websites already that are not listed on the HU schedule. By the way, It seems that the afternoon g games (except for Molloy) are now at 2:00 pm instead of the previous 4:00 pm that have occured for many past sasons.

All I can say is, Molloy is going to be facing one battle-tested team!

The MLK Day home game is pretty cool. The Knicks (1 pm tip) and Hofstra (2 pm tip) will be simultaneously hosting games on MLK Day this year. And the Nets will tip an hour later, but in Cleveland.

Not like preseason KenPom is the be-all end-all but here's where our opponents are projected (we're #168):
-@Houston #11
-@Duquesne #181
-@Iona #162
-@Maryland #18
-@Richmond #64
-Detroit Mercy #200
-Princeton #164
-Bucknell #302
-@Stony Brook #185
-@Arkansas #15
-@Monmouth #233

Just a brutal schedule, didn't count Molloy since they aren't D1. 4-7 would honestly be pretty good, none of those road games are gimmes. Credit to Speedy for putting together a schedule worthy of an aspiring at-large contender but I hope these fresh faces gel quick because we're going to need all the help we can get. We should enter CAA play about as battle-tested as can be, the only minor concern I have is confidence levels if we're getting waxed left and right.

I think the 3 home games, Stony Brook and Monmouth we should be the favorites. If we can get those and then steal another somewhere we end up with a 6-5 record. But maybe call me optimistic I feel like we can get to 7-4; just depends how quickly the team can play like a team. Would be amazing to grab one of those top 25 wins though.

Arkansas is calling it a neutral site game because it isn't at their campus. All of their nonconference games on campus are on SEC Network or SEC Network+, including hosting Elon three days after playing us.

WIth opening tip only 2 weeks away, has anyone heard about any "secret" scrimmages?? Doesn't HU as well as most other teams typically get in a few of these each year?
