From 2016-2017 through 2025-2026 before the CAA Tournament, we were below .500 in ten consecutive seasons with a combined winning percentage of .336. I did not check, but it would probably be below 1/3rd (.333) if you take out non-Division I wins. I wonder if any team in any sport has made their first NCAA Tournament in their tenth or more consecutive season below .500.

Congrats to this team they're really playing very good shutdown D and have just enough offense to get them across the finish line but don't think for a minute they will do the same to Charleston. I watched a part of the Charleston domination of S.B. and this team is a very, very good team. If we beat Charleston it would be a major upset and that's putting it mildly. Hoping for a win of course but this will be a tough one!!

11-21, 6-12 CAA vs. 26-5, 16-2 CAA.
It'll take a miracle to pull this last one off, but hey, who thought they'd get this far? 40 minutes away. They have their chance.

We are 269th in the NET, and Charleston is 101st. If Number 101 and Number 269 in Men's KenPom played at a neutral court KenPom would expect a margin of 11.
https://stats.statbroadcast.com/broadcast/?id=652855 will have statistics.
The Power Four and Big East combine to have 79 teams. In alphabetical order, the 15 we ever beat are Arizona State, Boston College, Cincinnati, Kansas State, Michigan State, Mississippi (now Ole Miss), Northwestern, Penn State, Providence, Seton Hall, South Carolina, St. John's, Villanova, Virginia, and Wake Forest. That includes if we beat them before they joined the Power Four or Big East.

They don't have any other clean uniforms?

Proud of this team. This can only help moving forward. Hopefully we can retain some of these players and add to it.

We lost 68-56. Charleston went on a 19-0 run starting with the last 2 points of the first half. Emma Von Essen scored 13, Chloe Sterling scored 12, Alarice Gooden scored 11, and Nevaeh Brown scored 10. Charleston had the top three scorers with Taryn Barbot's 23, Taylor Barbot's 16, and Jami Hill's 14. We had a higher field goal percentage. Charleston's bench scored 2 points in 19 minutes. I previously said "If Number 101 and Number 269 in Men's KenPom played at a neutral court KenPom would expect a margin of 11." That turned out to be 1 point away from the margin.
I learned the Women's Basketball teams can start the second half with four timeouts. Men's Basketball teams cannot start the second half with more than three timeouts.

Great run by this team! Probably saved the coaching staff's jobs. Hope they use this as a springboard to become more relevant in women's hoops.

You said it but who knows if anyone really gets fired over here. You would have to do something so egregious! Great job peaking at the right time and with a few breaks in this game who knows. They set some precedents that may stand for some time. Kudos to the team and the coaches!!

Ironically, two of the Charleston players who defeated Hofstra today Long Islanders: Taryn and Taylor Barbot, twins from Floral Park/St. Mary's.

Was discussing this very same thing with Stu how sometimes you lose really good players in your own backyard. Who knows why they decided to go to COC and whether we even recruited them. With our record in the last 7 years you can see why it's hard to recruit here but maybe this run will change our fortunes.
