https://caasports.com/news/2025/6/17/ca ... eason.aspx is titled "CAA Announces Men’s Basketball Conference Opponents for 2025-26 Season." With 13 teams, every team plays six opponents twice, three opponents only at home, and three opponents only away. Every team has two opponents that they play twice every year, which are Northeastern and Stony Brook for us. Here are our CAA opponents:
Home: Charleston, Drexel, Monmouth, Northeastern, Stony Brook, Towson, Campbell, Elon, Hampton
Do not host North Carolina A&T, UNCW, or William & Mary
Away: Charleston, Drexel, Monmouth, Northeastern, Stony Brook, Towson, North Carolina A&T, UNCW, William & Mary
Do not go to Campbell, Elon, or Hampton
Of our games at Charleston, North Carolina A&M, UNCW, and William & Mary, I would hope that we have two road trips to two of them. It would be convenient to go to Drexel and Towson on the same trip.

Team posted a before/after video of a lot of players doing a stadium run (including some of the new guys). Cracked me up how mostly everyone seemed fine, but then Sunday at the end was so out of breath he could barely speak
We gonna get this guy any help in the middle before the season starts?!

Verbal Commits shows that HU made about half dozen offers last week to high schoolers. No help next year but at least some action. Recruit Herly Brutus could lead the CAA in name if he signs.

Herly Brutus is a stud. He is being recruited by many, many big time programs.........we have no chance of landing him.

In guards we trust!

Dubar was a guard. Seems like the template is a legit center, and 2 small and 2 bigger guards. I would rather go that way than have a legit power forward who can't play

Dubar wasn't a guard - I guess you can call anyone any position but he never handled the ball - he was a small forward - played there at Tennessee also

Fair enough...his role was forward-like. Patterson seems to have a similar build

School officially announced a road game at Syracuse on Dec 13. Cuse obviously isn't what it used to be but still a fun game. Carmelo Anthony's son Kiyan, a top recruit, will also be a freshman on the team in the fall.

According to the Syracuse website Hofstra is the Hofstra Hawks. According to Hofstra's website we have 2 forwards on the rooster. I have never seen that before.

Jaquan Carlos is in the transfer portal. After a year of playing with the big boys every week, I’m sure he’s improved. I wonder if we could get him to come back to Hofstra. I know he and speeds have a decent relationship

Pbdutch I think you know why he wouldn't come back here assuming we would want him. It's all about the payday which he isn't going to get here. We are in dire need of height so this becomes a moot issue IMO!

Maybe the $ isn't there considering the Power 5 programs are pretty much set by now

I think we will ultimately land a big...so many still in the portal and once they realize there is no big payday they will look to play somewhere. I had mentioned a few in a previous post who might fit the bill.
