We don't have many fans on YouTube. Before me, the Final highlights from Hofstra did not have any likes, and the Final highlights from the CAA had 1. To compare, our 2020 Men's Basketball Final highlights from the CAA have 21 likes.

Us (9 games), North Carolina (7 games), and VCU (15 games) give the Regional three of the longest six active winning streaks. North Carolina is tied with Tennessee for the most wins against the top 50 with 20.

Stu, although your point about him inheriting a team is fair to some degree, this actually highlights just how much this staff deserves major kudos for THEIR hard work to completely turned this program around, total 180 - and no one thought much of what he had on the roster still picking them dead last.

This staff is LEGIT. They did this.

Like I said before, HU better PAY THIS MAN. They better have some payout incentives in place for the fact he won the CAA. And if he wins NCAAT games he should get bonuses for that too. Lucking up on top flight coaching doesn’t happen every day at this level, let’s do what it takes to keep this rising star as long as possible.

Literally decades of awful erased in 1 season, frankly this is a near miracle. Cole, make sure HU handles this right, let’s see if HU baseball can actually become a real program now!

Totally agree Polito. I don't think we spend much on baseball but with this team's and coach's success we should invest in this program.

It has already paid handsome dividends!

Great post luv the work mentality and the drive needed to be a winner. The entire philosophy has turned this program around. May be some of this could spill over into our basketball program and an analogy could be made to start shooting less three point shots or trying to hit the long ball in baseball.

More 2s... 2 solo homers for each team and it's 2-2 after 2.

Unfortunately, Camarda is having a rough outing. UNC has scored in each of its first four turns at bat. It's now 5-2, Tar Heels, top of the 5th. But we do know how this HU team never quits this year, so we'll see.

Was thinking, what if the NCAA men's basketball tournament were done the same way as baseball, with 64 teams (after play-in games for 65-68), pods of four teams, with the top 16 teams seeded and then other teams in those teams' pods, double elimination instead of the current single elimination format? Might be interesting. Although, I would guess we'd see fewer Cinderellas and more favorites advance that way.

The pen was even worse. Hofstra stayed within 6-3 but UNC put up a touchdown in the 7th. Ouch. It's now 13-4 in the 8th. Even for this scrappy, ultra-resilient team, that's too much at this point. HU will have to beat either Georgia or VCU in the next game to avoid elimination. I hope it's VCU - would be cool to play our old nemesis in an NCAA tourney even if it's not in men's basketball.

It was 15 to 4, with hits being 17 to 8. North Carolina entered averging 4.8 runs allowed, with many of those games against much better teams than us, so scoring 4 is okay.

The NCAA would never have that many Basketball Tournament games and stop people from making single elimination brackets.

Super proud of this group, score be damned. Doesn't matter one iota - this is a program with 80+ years of historical garbage - this is like the Tribe finally making the dance - this is a hugely successful season, and they deserve major kudos going up against a top ranked ACC program hosting on it's home field with loads of CWS experience behind it.

Every HU program should feel the burn and pull to get their butts in gear and make their tourney as well - HU baseball just proved beyond ANY shadow of a doubt that EVERY SINGLE HU TEAM should have NCAAT expectations. Especially HU's prime sports. No excuse for some of them like hoops and lax. What a group, love this team, I am a new HU baseball fan.

FC sounds like a mans man, a real coach that doesn't accept excuses or losing 'just because it's hard' and 'that's how it's always been'. AMEN. About damn time we see some courage and high standards in this dept. PAY HIM and let's get this program into a winning tradition!!

On to the next game tomorrow, this isn't over, still in the fight! I don't care who they play, just glad there's another game - bring on the Dogs or the Rams, let's try to get a W! That would be the icing on this cake!

We play Georgia 1 pm Saturday.

Nothing to be ashamed of we were competitive until the deluge in the 7th inning and hit a few dingers to boot. Love it. Lets find a way to beat Georgia. Maybe a walk-off!!

Youch, boys are getting there butts handed to them today lol - oh well, all good, this was this programs first ever taste of big boy ball - now this staff and the players have a better understanding of what it takes to play at a high level on a bigger stage

Program needs to take advantage of the momentum and recruit more / better talent, continue to develop guys, and play a much tougher OOC going forward to get them better seasoned for the real ball that gets played in May and June

Congrats to this group, they made history, now onward and upward to a new era in HU baseball!

Losing 20-0 in the 7th inning. Not much pitching in this one for us. A learning experience for sure and hopefully something to build on. Where's the MERCY RULE,LOL!!

So far, it appears that today's 24-1 win by Georgia is both the most runs scored and the greatest margin of victory in the tournament.

Glad we didn't play VCU. They beat UGA 8-1 yesterday and are leading UNC 1-0 in the 6th inning.
