Re: MBB recruits 2016
Not that crazy - sounds like Djambo might actually be in the mix...
Re: MBB recruits 2016
If this is real ,how about Djambo for a year then add Jonathan Nwankwo (6'10") from VCU by way of NYC to redshirt for a year and the future looks bright!
Just wishin'!

Re: MBB recruits 2016
Is that for real???? Is there actually some scuttlebutt on Djambo. Does he still have the year of eligibility left??dutchalum01 wrote:Not that crazy - sounds like Djambo might actually be in the mix...
Re: MBB recruits 2016
Regarding Antwan Walker.
Walker will not turn 18 until November this year - young guy and it reportedly considering a year of prep school. In addition, Walker has yet to score the minimum grade on SATs to play NCAA ball. Maybe prep school for him is the way to go. Got this info from a report for NC State (who is recruiting him also).

Is Djambo really in the mix or is it strictly speculation??

Re: MBB recruits 2016
I reached out to a source where I suggested Djambo at the 4, take it as you will, but their exact response was "we are trying!".
Re: MBB recruits 2016
Let me try my source....LOL

There's a reason why I brought it updutchalum01 wrote:Not that crazy - sounds like Djambo might actually be in the mix...
Re: MBB recruits 2016
Would be great if it happens....give us two big bulky guys up front [Gustys & Sabety] and two athletic long guys [Walker & Djambo].
Re: MBB recruits 2016
And (I assume) Djambo could spell Greer in the 4 spot when Greer needs a break.
If this is true, and comes to pass, HU would have a very nice group of 6'7" and bigger players for next season. Lets hope!

Re: MBB recruits 2016
Ya know, I would not normally be interested in his return considering his lack of real hoops time the last couple of years, he would likely be a bit rusty, but if it's for one year I have to say that's actually a perfect support type of a guy to help Greer for 10 minutes or so a game
I would be all for it for a 1 yr deal

Re: MBB recruits 2016
I know that we are no longer going after Junior Saintel, but we will still see him this season as he just committed to Stony Brook.
Good thing we didn't get him.....he must be a loser

Re: MBB recruits 2016
Let's not get too excited about this guy-what did he average 2 or 4 points per game at Clemson?dutchalum01 wrote:I reached out to a source where I suggested Djambo at the 4, take it as you will, but their exact response was "we are trying!".
Re: MBB recruits 2016
Keep in mind he was seen in practice at Hofstra for a full redshirt year...if he was a non-entity I am confident they wouldn't be trying to make it happen again.
Re: MBB recruits 2016
Exactly Captain! JM has a very good idea of what he would be getting.
Re: MBB recruits 2016
Jorgensen visiting Butler today, home tomorrow....we hope to have an answer by end of week....As of right now Djambo is long shot but still possible
Re: MBB recruits 2016
Thx Gary - would VERY much like to see a role/bench guy at the 4 to help backup Greer should the need arise... have felt, and still do, that they need 1 more ready to play next yr at that spot - would love a 1 yr guy, Djambo or a grad transfer... if not that, perhaps the Kabir fella?
PJ, this is a no-brainer - the best fit and opportunity is HU - pull the trigger bud! You are WANTED and NEEDED here. Check the Butler boards for a little taste of the opposite...
His skill set is taylor made for HU's system, and the CAA. It's a great match

Re: MBB recruits 2016
Came here to say Northeastern was off the board, as they just took a similar commitment from Vasa Pusica, a sophomore SG from University of San Diego. Looks more like he was their plan B, and they closed him down after PJ came off the board. Here's hoping we have a plan b too...daHUPride wrote:

Re: MBB recruits 2016
Very disappointing. Think he made a mistake. He could have made a real impact at Hofstra. At Butler hell just be another bench player. Disappointing.
