So we play the 7 seed on Thursday which is Towson at 6. We lost to Towson twice during the season by 1 point in Hempstead and by 3 in Maryland. We have a chance in this game and unless we make a serious run in this tourney and losing at least 6 seniors to graduation this sport needs a major shakeup and PURGE IMO. We will see if the school lets the bleeding continue next year????

I know we have four incoming players for next year
Three of the four I believe are 6 foot or tall taller. It will be a completely different team.

I don't care who we have coming in here unless we have picked up a couple of Caitlin Clark clones. Lol

We defeated 7 seed Towson 72-71. We shot twos poorly, but made 8 of 14 threes, and committed only 8 turnovers. https://stats.statbroadcast.com/broadcast/?id=652847 has statistics. We lost by 1 and by 3 to Towson earlier.

Won the game on a 3 by Van Essen with 2 seconds left. So happy for Emma, who scored 14 on 6-10 shooting.

What were the odds of Towson losing to Hofstra as the same seed, on a 3 at the end, in both the men's and women's tournaments this year?!

Not only a game-winning 3 to oust Towson in both men's and women's CAA tourneys, but Long Island natives making those shots (Deer Park's Edmead and Rockville Centre's Von Essen). I think the Tigers have seen enough of Hofstra and their Long Island natives by now.

Emma in tears post presser what a exclamation point on her career here and still more to come . Lets see if we can take down Campbell and make it to the Semi-final game. That would be something.

After the disaster that was this season for them, they've improved of late and coming on strong in the conf tourney - this could be one epic turnaround.

Wow, that is just uncanny for both the men and women to have similar experiences with Towson - the epitome of sports, joy and agony!

The women just knocked off #2 Campbell, 55-50! The CAA posted that they’re the lowest seed in conference history to play in the semifinals.

We were the first 10 seed to reach the Semifinals in both genders. Our first season in the CAA in 2001-2002 was the first time the CAA had at least 10 teams. Our Men got the 10 seed and defeated the 7 and 2.

https://stats.statbroadcast.com/broadcast/?id=652851 has statistics. Our double-digit scorers were Alarice Gooden with 14, Emma Von Essen with 11 off the bench, and Chloe Sterling with 10. Jasmine Nivar, who unanimously won Rookie of the Year, entered averaging 11.5 points, and we held her to 9. We will play Drexel or Elon in the Semifinals.

These kids are playing with so much confidence but will the confidence and momentum carry them past a very good Drexel team? We played Drexel twice the first time on 1/11 in Philly and lost by 29 points 38-67 then played them a second time 3/5 on senior day and lost 56-70. We actually lost that game in the 1st quarter getting outscored 24-2. Down by 22 points we outscored them by 14 points the rest of the way. This is a winnable game different then playing Charleston I expect that this will be a much closer game. Fingers crossed!!
