Yea I’m done with Hofstra lacrosse. Until Tierney is gone I’m no longer keeping up with it or donating money to it. Total waste of time…

100% - I said that and did the same years ago. Have not attended a game in many years, and won't until there's change. I refuse to care more about anything at Hofstra than Hofstra itself does. Every single fan should stop. Yep it stinks for the kids, but sadly it's the only way to send any message in today's world. They won't read or care about any emails, but money they will care about.
ST's record has been fireable for at least the last few years. Nothing will happen this year either. STOP SUPPORTING. I would also encourage everyone who's on it to instead of emails start blasting them all on social media. They seem to care about that too. They'll get it eventually.
HU has zero standards or accountability for success. The fanbase needs to really start pushing back.

As they say, follow the money. Correct me if I'm wrong, but James Metzger is his patron, keeping him afloat? Is that accurate? (Honestly asking.) Send him emails, if so, telling him he's wasting his money.
I'm not sure what his motivation is for supporting ST. If it is to create a winning program, he failed. Is it to have a lackey in power for his ego? Doesn't he have better things to do?

I’ll be honest, I used to care about the kids or mention it’s not fair to them. But Tierney is so bad and he’s done such a horrendous job of recruiting I don’t care about the kids.
These kids are basically good enough to play D3 lacrosse. Hofstra is a D3 lacrosse program at this point. That’s how pathetic it is.
Yes, Hofstra men’s lacrosse and their social media platforms are well aware of how (I) feel about their program. I’m shocked they haven’t deleted my comments…

What has happened to this program is malpractice by Cole. There is no other way to characterize it. Tierney and Metzger, to the extent he is involved, inherited a program that went 17-2 with an NCAA record 17 straight wins and a top five ranking with a solid lacrosse tradition located in a premier lacrosse area and run it into the ground. I understand that Ryan Tierney's number is being retired. While I am okay with that, the kid was a top player for sure, but he's jumped over other top players, All-Americans, who have played for the Dutch. Just shows you how they are milking the program in every way. Nobody even goes to the games anymore. Never thought I would be writing emails like this.

I have no earthly idea what metrics are being used by the AD in regards to men’s lacrosse. Seemingly, there are none. Logically, you would think it the teams won-lost record or alternatively conference championships would be critical but both of those performance criteria are poor. It can’t be attendance, because the number of spectators has cratered from 40k patrons annually in a season a decade ago to less than 50% for last season. It appears to be a sink fund with no vision or course alteration in sight..
One of the two things should occur. Option 1 is a major review and assessment, leading to a compete reset. Beyond the coaching question is why Hofstra is struggling get top 100 players in a region that is rich in talent. Short of a major corrective action and assessment, the other alternative would be regrettably to drop the a program, as unfortunate as that as that may be, but clearly what is in place is not sustainable

Polito and I have both said this as well. You either spend the money to get Amplo who will turn this program around or your drop the program. It’s basically as embarrassing as it can get, but if we have more years of this it’ll really put a bad light on Hofstra.
I have complete and total confidence in Amplo as well. Everything is a gamble, but I don’t believe it is when Amplo. He made Marquette good…

So yeah take anything we can get although UMBC apparently not very good is now 1-4 and we're 2-4. A close game for two teams that aren't going anywhere.

Remember Men's lacrosse? When Hofstra was good? Down 9 - 2 to Monmouth at the half.

Time to cut the program and save the money for our bball NIL and other worthwhile programs. I’m actually excited about our baseball team too now. Seems as if they’re going to be good?

I gave up on Mens Lacrosse many years ago when it was clear as day this jackass was running the program into the ground. Hurts that it has been firmly validated. 2nd biggest tragedy in Hofstra Sports history behind the murder of the Football program. And its a very close 2nd tbh

Wow I watched part of the post presser yesterday and Coach Tierney was like almost in tears it seemed like he just lost a very close relative. I had to shut it off it was tough to watch.

This HAS to beSeth's last year with the program. I think that reality is beginning to set in.

The volume of one goal losses under Tierney is inexplicable and crazy. I will will update my analysis done a few years ago. The tanking of the lacrosse program is also inexplicable and the fact that it has been allowed to go this far even worse. There was nobody in the stands yesterday. Hofstra lax once had a good turnout. What high school lax player would want to sign up for this? This is malpractice by Cole in my view.
