Looks like the Refs had -6, what a disgrace.

This has been far from a well officiated game, but Hofstra has to stop worrying about the refs and just play.
The 4th on Estrada a major turning point right now

Can they even take a breath without fouling at this point? Even Rutgers fan on social media are agreeing that some of these calls should have been fouls on their own players and not Hofstra….

We should have declined the NIT bid. I just want to know how much Rutgers paid for this win.

What can you say about how Nelson played Talk about stepping up. Thomas was incredible as was Carlos and D-stone.

What a tremendous effort!! Yes, there's a lingering feeling that we would have won CAA with tonight's level of play and that no doubt this team is more than talented enough to have won a 4/13 game this weekend, but that was special. Special. Put this right there with UCLA as best wins since joining CAA. The look of pure joy on speedys face hugging JC at the end just awesome (and I CANT WAIT to see JC next 2 yrs what a big game player).
Now go make a run to vegas!!!

It wasn’t that. Those were honest sentiments about the teams and that game.

We could have packed our bags after the questionable calls in this game but fate and determination took us to O/T where we seemed to have the winning resolve to win this game. Huge I thought we were done like we have seen so many times before. The POISE of Carlos was something to behold and Thomas with ICE in his veins hit BIG shots. Great Victory.

WHAT A WIN!!
Haven't posted on the boards since we were at the old CAA zone back when we beat Nebraska at home in the NIT. The boys played their asses off. While I don’t think speedy is the best in game coach he really got the job done today. He will only get better in that regard. Nelson just played the game of his life. Wow. Unreal effort from everyone but especially him. I know we’ve seen some special players come through here in the last decade plus but Buie for my money was the best leader we’ve had since Jenkins and I see a LOT of Buie in Jaquan Carlos. Carlos has a chance to be that kind of leader, defensive player, and all around threat that Buie was. From where he was game 1 to where he was now is so impressive. Gunna enjoy whatever is left of this season but I’m glad to know we won’t have any post Estrada basement years because Carlos is going to have the keys to the team from day 1 next year.
Charles Jenkins for president.

What a gutty awesome win
They don't do win% on ESPN but down 5 with 26 seconds left and no Estrada it couldn't have been over 5%.
The refs were absolutely awful. The flying elbow on Estrada's 5th foul was egregious.

This was a game of 8 vs 5. The refs tried to give it to Rutgers,. Pikell embarrassed himself moaning about every call.
We prevail. One of our BEST WINS IN HISTORY!
GO PRIDE!

Never want to hear again on this board the negativity about how playing in the NIT is no big deal should this team fail to reach the NCAAT. Any time I see that going forward, I will always mention tonight’s game. While the NCAAT Is obviously always the first goal, this win might have done more for the program than any blowout NCAAT loss would.

It’s a good thing the players and staff have way more belief than some of their fans do!
