HU gets #7 overall seed, Nebraska. Same matchup as 2014. Let's hope the media gives us a little more respect this year, last time they couldn't even be bothered to research Hofstra's location.

If it’s the same coach as in 2014 he will make sure the press gives us respect. He only had good things to say about us

All the comparisons are so close Stu especially the attendance! They get 8,000 people to watch Volleyball. That speaks volumes.

That’s a great program. Considering it’s not a west coast or southern fla school to get that many people. Soeaks volume about the coach and the school

Their coach is John Cook. He has 4 national championships to his credit. The last two at Nebraska were in 2015 and 2017. Win national championship and you create a buzz and people willl come

A southern Florida school has never won a championship. Of the 37 champions, outside the west coast the dominant teams have been Nebraska and Penn State. Penn State has the most titles with 7. They won in 1999, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2013, and 2014. They had consecutive undefeated seasons in 2008 and 2009. Nebraska's last 3 titles were at home and in Omaha and Kansas City. Of Penn State's 7 titles, the nearest one was 981 miles away in Kansas City. Penn State won titles in Hawaii, Sacramento, and Seattle.

Nebraska's attendance of 8,187 is a little lower than the attendance in the picture posted from 4 years ago, and at that point their most recent title was in 2006. Rutgers is last in the Big Ten in attendance at 352. Nebraska has 23.26 times that. To compare, that's a greater ratio within a conference than the 2017-2018 Men's Basketball ratio of best to 314th out of 351 in attendance.

Does anybody know if a Hofstra team has had consecutive NCAA Tournament games at the same site excluding Softball (or Baseball if Hofstra has ever made it) regionals with multiple games at the same site in the same year?

It wasn't consecutive but Hofstra men's lacrosse was sent to Johns Hopkins for first round games in 2008 and 2011.

One major Nebraska media source agreeing to use our correct logo is a start to getting some respect.

Big blow for the volleyball team. Aisha Skinner, one of the team's top players and the CAA rookie of the year is transferring to Iowa....

Wow that is a big blow to the team. Aiesha is a great person we wish her well at Iowa. Emily will find a replacement for her. Her husband is from Germany so we should see some nice European players come in

Ouch; a big loss. Fortunately over all our athletic programs gain more from transfers than we lose. Emily has shown herself to be an able recruiter with good international contacts and NY is a good draw for many, so I'm hopeful. Thanks for posting even if it was disappointing.
