Sounds like Schutte might be going in as the backup to kante. Or maybe we play small with one of the wings at the 5 for a few minutes?

For sh....... and giggles Justin Pierce opted to play for UNC over Michigan and Yeboah from Stony Brook transferred to Rutgers. He would have been a good get. We clearly need bodies that aren't red shirting this year and I wonder if anybody knows when we can expect to hear on Silverio.

Yes Mathew we're not alone in thinking that Schutte is going to get minutes this year cause we all know we need help down low. I don't like the idea of playing wings in the post. We saw what happened when Dwyer was used to spell Taylor and he had some size.

Listed on the Dayton page on VC are a few transfers from NY and NJ. It is possible that this is the reference that Fifties posted about.

Thats right - and I recall that we had recruited one of them out of high school

The Dayton player is probably Frankie Policelli who we recruited out of LI Lutheran but he chose Dayton....At 6-8 with a solid frame he would be a nice get for Hofstra program...I believe he is from upstate NY

The Stony Brook board seems to think Policelli is going there.

Gresham Jr to Georgia and Demir of Drexel to Minnesota. Quite impressive all these CAA players to P5 programs.

Yes, he needs to be one of our top priorities.

Timing-wise, he'd come in and challenge/learn from Buie everyday in practice during his year he'll need to sit, than take over that position his JR/SR years. Could be a really perfect fit...

So unusual that TransferU (Iona) is in the running with us - if there was ever a year that a transfer deciding between HU and Iona (and I know there are others mentioned) picks us this would be the year that we should be able to trump Iona/Cluess. A transfers- sitting out this season - would still have 2 years and finish playing with Kante, Silverio, Cramer and Burgess.
