. Hason Ward - top 200 player. Good athlete - recruited heavily by A10. Would be a nice pickup for us. Put him with Kante and we’d be looking good upfront.

Knox to St Joes
Also the tweet said that Siena and St Bonaventure offered Hasan Ward...did not say Hofstra offered.

Hason Ward looks to be pretty athletic and moves well at 6"9". Looks like defense/shot blocking may be his strongpoint. At 200 lbs he is not ready to play the 5 in the CAA - clearly would need to pack on 30 lbs. Other than dunks (as seen on video), did not see any offensive moves or shots - definitely not a 4. Would need to be groomed at the 5.

Christian Jackson looks pretty solid all around. Can shoot the 3, drive, handle the ball, dish, etc. At 6'6" - 6'7", could see him as a solid 3. Does not seem to be real quick, but with his size, may not need to be. With hard work and seasoning, I could picture him developing into a real solid D1 player.

I submitted both links to verbal commits for them to update their website.

I'd say the only need remaining for 2019-20 is the backup to Kante unless coach feels KS is the guy.

Looking forward to 2020-21 our biggest need will be a backup wing; so if we can land that in this class it would be a big plus.

Ward would be a really nice add, but needs to add size for sure.
They really could use another scoring guard next year, especially if Silverio has to sit a year.
In 20-21 they have Coburn, Silverio, and Cramer who are all 6'4", that team is shaping up nicely

Based on recent things I've seen on Cramer he has been listed as 6'7". Now that will be interesting especially if he's healthy. www.theprepinsiders.com/player/kvonn-cramer/

I know its a positive speaking to the stability of our program but is there any rumors floating around as to possible transfers out. It just seems that we may have some discontented kids with the lack of playing time they may get.

So Coach Mihalich went hard after Knox. The kid is a Philly kid. St Joe's lets their long time coach go, several players transfer out. The new coach was an assistant with the sixers and he needs to find players in a a hurry. Playing time an easy sell. Offered him and he accepted right away.

The only guy who wouldn't shock me at this point would be Trueheart. Everyone else is new, newly eligible, or played a lot last year other than Schutte who is a development project and the backup 5 as of now. No one has really been recruited over, either.

Yeah Stafford who at one time was the starter at the 4 but clearly played himself into the DOGHOUSE. He played 14 plus minutes 2 years ago and only played 10.7 minutes this year with an APG of 2.8. Its food for thought but definitely impacts who and how many kids we can recruit. I honestly feel that if Cramer was ready this year that this would be the end for Trueheart.

Looks like a lot predicated on whether they can get a waiver for Silverio….not sure about timing though.

If Silverio is eligible next season would not mind them using last two schollies this way : bring in a one and done big and a guy like Hason Ward and have him redshirt with Cramer. I have a feeling Ward will end up in A10...

Like, I'm sure a number of us on this board, I schmooze with coaches from time to time although it seems to have gotten more challenging to reach them over the years. I make it a practice not to post anything concrete unless I know it is OK to. Joe being superstitious; my experience is you get very little that is concrete but I gather we have a recruit visiting this weekend and 2 next; all wings. Would be "ecstatic if they landed 2". My memory and hearing aren't what they were but I gather 1 is from Atlanta, 1 Dayton(not sure if it is the school or the town) and no one else is leaving. Hughes is up to 225 and Cramer is 6 7.
