Per reliable source San Diego St transfer PG Kevin Zabo recently visited Hofstra. A very highly touted floor general growing up.

It's hard not to wonder if Gonzalez might be leaving - If a guy like Zabo joined us, then sat out for a year, we would have 3 PG (Buie, Gonzalez, and Zabo) with 2-3 years left. I would like to see him stay, as i think the kid has undeveloped talent.

I could be way off base, totally flying blind, but what da heck - there's not a lot to talk about!

Eliel Gonzalez is transferring out of the program.

PG definitely seems to be a major focus with this last scholly...

And I like the guys they are looking at, all fairly high level recruits, 3* guys - this one is nice as he would have 3 yrs left I believe

What's the timeline for using this last scholly on a transfer? When does this need to be done by? Anytime, or is there a clock on this?

Agreed Polito, this kid looks like the real deal, 3 star, looks like he's looking to get back on the East Coast. As for timing they can bring him in anytime before the fall semester starts. He needs to be enrolled to get the clock ticking on his redshirt year.

technically, i believe the clock is already ticking. i believe that a kid has 4 years of eligibility to be used within 5 years of his high school graduation with certain exceptions such as medical, military, religious (Mormon service, etc.) time.

so, i believe, there is time to get it right......but he does look like he might be "right"......

Correct see my above post. He needs to be enrolled for the Fall to keep his three reaming years of eligibility.

I don't know he is originally from tenn. and is speaking to two Tenn. schools and his numbers are not impressive.

He went with Samford... No love lost on this one...

seemed like a southern lean from the start, but he is a quality guy from what I could dig up, nice for HU to be involved

Glad Dyson signed elsewhere....we are still in the running for Samuel & Zabo until we hear otherwise.....Buie & Foreman report to campus Wednesday

For me, Samuel > Zabo but either one would be huge.

Asked coach if we were getting close on anyone for scholarship 13 and he said, "not close enough....only gonna take a difference maker tho".

Doesn't sound too promising...but I have heard no news on either of these kids so they still are in play.
