This may be a little OT for this thread, but did anyone notice that Savion Lewis, a local LI player, was named Mr. New York Basketball?

I wonder who recruited him to Quinnipiac?

Nah that was Gadley, he played two seasons for us, transferred to Canisius and played significantly overweight at 330 lbs for one season. Never had good conditioning for us either, but had one great game in the Garden against St. John's.
Dane got in shape here, and has played professionally for years. He didn't have a particularly large impact for us though, split minutes to Szabo, Washington, Urbutis, and Townes.

Yes we wonder however this kid is not listed in the top 13 players in N.Y. per ESPN. He is a 2 star player per V/C and was never recruited by us. I'm sure he was on our many player lists so take away what you want from that!

We can't be thrilled seeing this on V/C THIS morning; 3/27/2018 - 2018 PF Giorgi Bezhanishvili (6-10, 230, 3★) committed to Illinois. When are we going to finally land at least one impact 5??

Probably another kid who will not play and be on the transfer list in a year or two

Antun Maricevic (one of the C we offered) visited USF over the weekend and is scheduled for a visit to Tulsa this week.
Anyone know if this guy has any serious interest in HU.

Don't know the answer to that but this kid has a lot of schools chasing after him and will be tough to sign I believe. When u look at his video you'll understand why he would be a strong 5 for us and would immediately fill the void left by ROK. He's athletic, quick and actually gets off the ground and throws it down and can block shots. A nice get if it could happen.

Yep i know triplec. When it first showed up on vc I checked his video and said this guy would be a fantastic pickup and could step right in and make a difference. I just wonder if its going to be another Beneshvilli type case, where we offered a while ago along with 2-3 other schools, and then the big boys (Illinois, Minnesota, somebody else as well) step in and scoop him up. Hope that not the case again.
i know there are good bigs still out there, but doesn't it seem like as of late, we are offering a bunch of spots to ok players. I'm sure some of these guys would turn out fine, but I hope we are not in the desperate phase. We shall see.

Those 2 bigs are 2 of the better bigs HU was after, but not the only ones - there's still a few strong possibilities who can make immediate impact for sure - going to give them time, still March...
If they've accomplished nothing but this project Hughes by summer, then it will be time to let them hear it.

Read it and weep. 3/31/2018 - JUCO C Antun Maričević (6-10, 234, 2★) committed to South Florida. It shouldn't come as any surprise but when will we get a big guy that has a proven resume??

I didn't know there was any time limit to sign transfers but with almost 4 months left and (Total 2018 Transfers To Date: 380) 380 players looking to transfer as of right now we seem to be in a very good place. There r a lot of transfers real 5's to fill 2 spots on our roster. Clearly the odds are in our favor so what is taking so long.................????

Thanks Stu it's been so long since I've been in school I'm not privy to any of this! Realistically though they have a substantial amount of time to get this done.
