Down 31-22, went on a 16-4 run (with 5 each from Tanskley and Green) to lead 38-35, before settling for a 38-37 edge at the break.
Please don't tell me anymore here how Bernardi is this supposed "lights out" shooter. He can be very hot, but he is as streak as they come.
Last 2 1/2 games (including today), overall and from 3:
3-15, 2-10
3-14, 1-8
1-7, 1-5
In all, that's 7-36 overall, including 4-23 from 3 over his past 5 halves + OTs.
If he's more consistent, they have a more comfortable lead at the break.

Nice half up 38-37.
Green and Nicols (7 boards and 2 fouls in 9 minutes) off to a good start. Tanks and Koon playing well.
Bernardi need him to light it up in the 2nd half off to 1/7 start.

When exactly does coach decide to let Bernardi ride the bench for an extended amount of time and give JWF some minutes?

We get the same refs that called 37 fouls in the SBU/Albany game Friday night. Fantastic.
We should have better than America East refs.

"No concern at all. He'll shoot his way out of it."
... is the thinking, I'm sure.
He did make his first 3 of the second half.

I guess because of the rescheduling with the blizzard. But should always be refs designated to ref only that conference, for every conference in America (though I know it doesn't work that way). They know the players' tendencies better than anyone, regardless of the league.

Buie may be scoreless, but he's been quite the catalyst in the second half so far. Hofstra on an 11-0 run, up 57-48.

Right after I hit send Bernardi drained an nba range 3. Regardless, come tournament, I think we need both Buie and JWF logging minutes to make a 3 day run without burning our legs. The current lineup on the floor now looks good with Buie spelling Bernardi.

Good question - problem is BB never gets in foul trouble.
After hitting his first shot in the 2nd half he has mixed his next 3.
MN out for the rest of the game with a leg injury.
Green having a great game.

From the Tribe board:
"This Hofstra team seems like it will be very vulnerable to neutral referees."
Because we all know when you lose by 25 it's the refs' fault.

Best half Hofstra played all season. I don't know what was discussed at halftime, but man, did this team play with a tremendous sense of purpose in the second half.
1-pt game at halftime, up 91-62 in the final minute. Embarrassed the Tribe in the second half

We all knew Tribe fans were idiots based on what they said about Elijah Pemberton committing to the Pride, who must be pretty happy with this result. Looks like Polito will get his wish of getting to read multiple pages of them complaining.

We scored 53 points in the 2nd half. W&M only scored 63 points total.

Still too early to get overconfident but the players have shown marked improvement since that frustrating CofC game. Rokas especially has just decided he's going to run wild and evidently nobody can stop him. Buie is absolutely a great bench contributor, and when Bernardi finds his shot again we'll be looking good. Just hope Malik is alright and that we can capitalize on this momentum.

W&M has some great players and Shaver is a very good coach. I have no doubt our trip down to them will be a lot tougher. But in the meantime this is a win to savor. Proud of the team today.

William and Mary fans have been saying all season how good both of their teams are. So far, our men's and women's teams beat both of their teams by a combined 58 points.
This may be the best weekend in the Joe Mihalich era so far.

Big BIG win - a Sunday blow out after the Saturday snow out.
JFW - 2 touches 2 shots. Love it.
Green Monster - great game - best I have seen.
Koon and Tanksley - solid game, also as good of games I have seen in a while.
Gustys - tough 1st half - 15 points in 15 minutes 2nd half.
BB - struggling - I know he is streaky - shooters got to keep shooting - I get it - but the way Green is playing and his NBA ability to distribute and the way teams are doubling Gustys - I think the floor should be opening up and you'd think that Bernardi would be getting the looks he needs to what he does best - I like the kid but he needs to start hitting more shots.
Polito - you got your wish!!!
Big BIG win!!!
