Is there a leader on this team? Similar problem in some past years recently.

By now, leadership should ideally come from Davis or Plotnikov.Seems like it may be more from the guy who has only played two games, Edmead. But they need someone or at least a couple of guys to take on that role.

Way too early for game-to-game temperature taking. Just as I wasn't overconfident about the effort at UCF, not going to read too negatively into this game either. Let's see how this plays out. Sticking with what I say every year: one third of the way (six games) into CAA play starts to truly reveal the direction of the season.

Its a team that will have to find its identity and good points made by Wags. The leader seems to be now the freshman who's showing out when it should be Davis. Based on what I've seen a possible leader could be Biggie who seems to have some "junk yard dog" in him. He needs to lead by example though and so far the jury is out on him! Plotnikov also a good choice who has been around a long time and is VOCAL.

The Iona die-hards I wound up sitting next to Friday had nothing positive to say about Biggie. Made it sound like he was a lousy teammate, clashed with coaches, missed games for disciplinary issues. They were heckling him pretty hard, maybe just bitter he transfered who knows.

I do like the edge Biggie plays with on the court, just needs to keep his emotions in check better. But having him take 10 3s was laughable, kid is a low 20s% 3pt shooter. If anyone should be taking 10 3s its probably German sad as that is, but Speedy seemed super down on him Friday. Didn't get why German rode the bench the entire 2nd half. Credit to German though he never stopped cheering guys on from the bench

This has been his entire career. He can often (not always, but often) give good production when they involve him. But they have often forgotten about him instead of using him more, basically throughout his Hofstra career. They played him a game-high 38 minutes only to get him.seven shots (he made three) at UCF and then they start him and only play him 16 minutes (he made his only shot) with only two fouls at Iona. I don't understand the plan with him and never have since he's been here. He can be efficient, has a good relationship with his teammates even with the annual roster turnover, and can be an energetic spark. Use that.

German shot 41% last year from 3 and 47% two years ago so his numbers are quite good from beyond the arc. Biggie only played 15 games last year that is still a mystery as far as I know?

I had trouble logging into ESPN+ for the Bucknell game tonight, even though I was able to link my cable TV provider to ESPN. So I called and spoke to a rep, who told me that even if you link your cable account to ESPN, you still have to pay to access ESPN+. So I resubscribed to the $12.99 monthly plan.

Iona just lost at Marist 83-38 today. Not a typo. And Iona now just 2-3 in the MAAC. Iona may very well turn out to be our worst loss all year.

Meanwhile Merrimack, who looked way out of our league, is sitting in 1st place in the MAAC at 5-0. Go figure
