Yeah no question about this and maybe a more balanced offensive team with three guys scoring 15 pts. a game distributing the ball more and less one on one play. I'm expecting big things from Kante next year who is listed as a center and has size. We don't need one player scoring 24 points a game a luxury but not a necessity.

Need to land two guards and a big guy to develop...
Jamir Young - PG - DeMatha Catholic - included Hofstra (along with Charlotte, LaSalle, ODU, BC) in his final 5 choices - all of those other schools are deep at PG.
Just gave verbal to Charlotte...early recruiting not looking good

And Gary when has it been? After signing Justin and Desure what H.S. players have we signed? They got Hughes last year and he has to redshirt. They did get Jalen two years ago but they have had to be content with transfers and graduate students. We have gotten good players but they haven't been from H.S. and we haven't had them for 4 years. I think we were lucky to get Kante and will have him for 3 years. I don't know why we haven't been able to sign anyone. Is it that competitive now or is it because we haven't had a lot of minutes to offer. We certainly had post minutes to offer after losing Rok and Sabety and couldn't land a H.S. post player. We know we were sure in the mix and it appeared we were finalists for a few.

The kids we want early have lots of options with better schools...they wait it out and go elsewhere...if those schools don't come through we have a chance...same every year...Foreman and Buie were not highly recruited.

Yeah same old same old. Foreman and Buie not HIGHLY recruited but they had options but getting one led to getting the other and look how that panned out for us. If Buie can put it all together would be huge for us to have a steady PG who can dish and score. It just seems that other CAA schools have been able to get H.S. players so how are they out recruiting us. I would imagine that when Speedy goes to recruit players he brings with him some clout, no??

Lilmelo Ball looking to go to Duke North Carolina Michigan State. None of those coaches want anything to do with the Ball family. That said the family advisors would like to see him go to a mid major. Hate to say it but we will be looking for a point guard soon. He doesn’t play great defense. So he should fit right in. PS. I hope you guys realize I’m being sarcastic

I somehow missed the news of this commitment, until I saw that Speedy re-tweeted Coach Farrelly’s tweet. Apparently he chose us over VCU and St. Joe’s.

a 3 star forward listed at 6'6"

Verbal commits showed offers from VCU, St Joes, Seton Hall, and Rutgers. Kid must have some game!

Temple was also seriously involved...appears to be a real good get based on schools that were recruiting him

he is coming off a torn acl, hoping he hasn't lost a step, but excited about his potential.

i believe there are still 2-4 spots open.
wormley, wright-foreman, dwyer are definitely done after this year
buie (listed as a SR on the hofstra website) and j.taylor could potentially return next year

Looks like a good get....although at 6-6 he's a bit small. We still need a few bigs and a PG for this class

Other places have him listed at 6'7'. Safe to assume has grown.

Looks like a great athlete. ESPN has him rated 76 and a three star. Hope is closer to 6-7...have everything from 6-4 to 6-7.Reality is yes probably in between the highs and lows.
We still need at least one real big and a top notch PG.
