Even with the loss to Fordham Hofstra’s RPI went up to 23. We play number 66 C of C after a twin bill vs Binghamton pitching while not spectacular still leads the CAA with a 1.06 ERA. It’s Ll about pitching and Freshman Dandola has step up big with a 0.44 era in conference play

In some positive news, the ladies ran CofC into the ground, with 11-1 and 10-2 wins. CofC came into the
day with the same number of wins overall as Hofstra, and a decent conference record.

No, it’s because the CAA changed the hosting rules as soon as their favorite school became dominant in the conference. Now the school that wins the championship gets to host the best season. If we can while JMU hosts it this year, we will host next season. If the conference actually cared about facilities, then Drexel never would've never been picked to host the women's basketball championship.

Was told by by asst AD that JMU will be the host in years to come. We shall see all we have to do is win it all this year and see who hosts next year

That is false as the previous year’s regular season champion gets to host so if we finish in first we will host next year.

The conference is looking for a permenent team site for all sports. JMU wants softball and women’s soccer. UNCW already has baseball. DelawRe the women’s basketball and W&M want track and swimming

Eventually all sports will have permenent site. This is supposed to make travel easier asteams can make hotel reservations easier. They will be able to make reservations years in advance. How I I know this. A friend of mine is head of logistics for Marriot hotels. The CAA offices are in negotiations with Marriot hotels for blocks of rooms on a three year contract

That's fine, if that's what they want to do. I'd be happier if they rotated it though (you can still plan travel and hotels if the site is decided upon beforehand).

That’s the idea. Depending on the location May is tough to book hotels. The CAA is looking to cut deals. If they know for three years the tournament will be held at a particular location teams will save big bucks on the rooms. The CAA will also have requirements like lights on the field drainage for field conditions parking availability etc. overall a good idea

Hofstra is up 1 to 22nd in the RPI. Hofstra was the top team in others receiving votes in last week's poll. The poll comes out on Tuesday's and I'm hoping we will be ranked. Charleston fell from 66th to 82nd in the RPI. Given their 22-18 record, they must have a strong schedule to have an RPI that good, and they haven't played James Madison yet. James Madison is 34th in the RPI. They swept Delaware by a combined score of 39-5, and that's with batting for only 14 innings in 3 games due to the mercy rule. James Madison's run differential per game is higher than Hofstra's runs scored per game. The CAA has an average RPI rank of 124.5, which is better than the average of 148.5 for all teams.

Hofstra is 12th in ERA and James Madison is 13th. James Madison's Payton Buresch is 16th with a 0.96 ERA and Sophie Dandola is 20th with a 1.10 ERA. They're both freshmen.

Hofstra has plenty of hotel rooms nearby so no reason we can't be part of rotation for softball and other sports if they choose to go that route.
