Dubar was listed as 6'6 at Iowa St don't know what he told anyone over there but the fact that somebody blocks his shot doesn't mean he's not 6'8 maybe he isn't he certainly plays big. We know a lot of 6'9 kids that get their shots blocked. Remember a kid named Cramer he was the classic shot blocker of kids taller then him.

Did notice that in that picture for sure. Will keep an eye on this when I see them on the court. Maybe DD has special sneakers that have at least 2" soles, LOL!

Estrada's final four: Alabama, Cincinnati, Florida State, and Kansas State.

If Aaron picks K-State, that would be two Hofstra players for the Wildcats in two years. Abayomi Iyiola transferred there last year, but I think he has exhausted his eligibility.

It's not like I like his name being linked to other schools but wish him well he was a great player and representative for the school.

I'm seeing we're in on this kid from Iona. Played HS ball at Our Savior of Lutheran. He's from Ireland 7' Center. Only got about 5 minutes a game last year. https://twitter.com/SSN_Hofstra/status/ ... fsrc=email

Agreed, should be restrictions on intra-conference transfers.

Poaching from the Seahawks? I love it:

This past season, Kelly started all 34 games, and averaged 23 mpg, 8 ppg, and 5 rpg. Plus he led the team in blocks with 34.

Potential poaching from the Seahawks but the likelihood of him staying in the CAA may not be all that great?

FYI He had 9 points and 7 rebounds against us in the playoff semi final playing 31 minutes. He fouled out in the regular season game with 6 points playing 15 minutes.

In Hofstra’s most recent social media posts they show the returning players working during practice and feature Tyler Thomas and Bryce Washington

Will be now working under the assumption they are returning

That is great news...pretty much sets up our backcourt with the addition of Jacquan Carlos. Also explains why Marshall transferred.

Great news! Saw those pictures too. Thomas coming back is huge! Now we are retooling rather than rebuilding!

I guess it's really not a stretch to think that Bryce could be a starting guard this year. He's athletic and can play D. We don't really know what we have with the kid from Philly but he'll be in the mix with the freshman Robinson from Florida and who knows what the portal will get us. Still plenty of gems out there. Replacing Estrada will not be an easy task but everyone has to contribute a bit more and we need scoring from Carlos which he has shown he's more then capable of providing.

So maybe a factor in Amare Kelly is he is from Long Island.
If I remember he is a recent father. Maybe he still has family on Long Island.
You never know.
