Either that or he's striking while the iron is hot right after he got a lot of attention for the WCC tourney run he led Pepperdine to on ESPN and he wants to use that to open up his chances to all potential suitors. But none of those will include a program like the level of Hofstra or Pepperdine.

Drexels top 2 scorers Kobe Magee and Yame Butler are both in the portal, as is CJ Luster after 1 yr at Stony.

Let the CAA bloodbath begin...

Yeah, inevitable. Luster could end up at a program as big or bigger and get paid as much or more than Odum. There are a lot of higher level programs who would love to have a guard who can handle the ball like him, can score in a variety of ways, and who shot 42% from 3, taking 7.6 3s per game.

By the way, the portal is shorter now - 30 days compared to 45 days last year.

Ends April 22...so you can announce entry now but not commit anywhere until March 24th? Wild...

Colby Duggan from Campbell is new to the list today as well. Averaged 15.7 ppg

Question for the board can we find out who is in the portal by school only
Instead of waiting through all the different names, could we just type in the university and they will tell us how many have left the team to go into the portal

Ouch that's a big one. But not surprising since their coach was just fired. Valencia just went in from Monmouth, I'm sure Bashir is not far behind

HU offers Jamil Muttilib, a 6'6" shooting guard. Muttilib played JUCO and averaged 19.2 PPG. He then went to App State. He played less than 10 mpg and had poor stats to go with limited playing time. He is now in the portal. As a JC player, he shot roughly 40% from 3.

A few days ago, HU offered Ade Popoola, another JUCO tall shooting guard with good stats (like Muttilib).

Looks like Speedy sees this type of player as fitting the top team needs!

Can add that halfway decent Greek big from NC A&T and both Simpkins brothers from Elon to the CAAs ever-growing portal list.

I'm sure the Simpkins bros are hoping to get paid by a higher level school, but they are from Brooklyn. We brought a former Elon guy home with Graham, do it again?

HU offers TJ Simpkins (Elon). He is the younger brother of TK who also plays at Elon.

TJ averaged 14.6 ppg last year. He is a NY City guy.

As was expected, Tyler Thomas' brother Tanner Thomas is leaving Sacred Heart and entering the portal.

He led Sacred Heart in scoring and rebounds this season.

2nd team all-MAAC too. I've been on him for a while, think he would be a quality addition that is also realistically attainable. Would he be as good as Dubar... probably not? But he'd almost certainly be a nice upgrade from what we got out of Gadsden this year

Speaking of Dubar, he only played 4 minutes in Tennessee's 1st round win. I know he got into some early foul trouble, but can't imagine that was the kind of exposure he was hoping to get with that move. Also JC didn't make the tourney. Guess the grass may not always be greener (but the NIL is sure greener). Just wonder what impact that could have on their pro careers, if any.

Looks like Tanner has one year of eligibility left. So he probably wants to go higher than the CAA and get paid $$$. But his brother played here, and he went to the same high school (Williston Northampton) as our incoming point guard, Preston Edmead, so maybe there's a chance.

I know Delaware isn't our concern anymore (so weird), but they just lost Pasha to the portal.

If Edmead turns out to be as good as Pasha just was we won't get to enjoy him for long

No surprise. Pasha was the CAA ROTY. He also signed an LOI with Iona when Pitino was there. Maybe he'll wind up at St. John's? As we saw yesterday, the Red Storm could use some reliable shooters.

As for Edmead, he's thin and maybe his listed 6-foot height. Let's see how he handles the CAA. Also, he's from LI. Maybe that will keep him here longer.
