Sorry about that. It's Spence Wewe from Quinnipiac. Nice Photoshop-style image with Speedy.

So Yam Madar it's 25 years old and will be 26 in December
First of how many years does he have left of eligibility?
Also, isn't there supposed to be a 25 year old limit on players?
This makes no sense whatsoever

Yes so once the 5 yr. rule takes effect 5 years from H.S. graduation or age 19 whichever comes first. It seems to me that anyone who is over 24 years of age would not be able to play college basketball. This legislation still has not passed yet though as far as I know?

Oh, don't worry. It, of course, gets even more stupid:
Former St. John's star and 2024-25 Big East Player of the year R.J. Luis, who is currently ineligible to play in the NCAA after signing a two-way contract with the Jazz, which traded Luis to the Celtics, has now committed to LSU.

OK, so now that there is no age limit as of now
I suggest we bring in LeBron James
After all, he has four years of eligibility left

Jojo not sure if you got your answer, but no, committed does not mean signed. Two different things - that's just a verbal. The one that really matters is of course signed.
Agree, Mark, I WANT MY WING(S)!!! And where's the TP replacement?? We need a full team and staff to hit the ground running June 1 - staff has done a tremendous job thus far, time to wrap this up and finalize our 26/27 product!!

Patience little lotus
Good things come to those who wait
Not too long
But I'm sure they have the wing. They want insight along with TP's replacement.

Wasn't sure where to place this. It didn't seem to deserve a new thread, but figured this was a good spot with all of the the other transfer portal and NIL absurdities we've discussed. And although it's football, it could be a landmark decision with ramifications for college hoops as well:
Texas Tech QB Brendan Sorsby, who broke NCAA rules by betting his own team while at Indiana and Cincinnati, as well as on basketball, had his temporary injunction granted by a Lubbock County court. Sorsby will miss the first two games next season but is the eligible to play college football for the 2026 season. The NCAA can still appeal the decision.

Absolute insanity, and it better be challenged and overturned in a higher court. This is the definition of complete ass-hat-ery. Buffoons running things these days.
The reasoning is completely offensive (and I can't stand the abuse of that word) to every person with even half a brain cell on this earth. He'll lose out on opportunity? Camaraderie? LOL yeah, no sh!t, it's called the consequences of his actions!!!! I mean where are we?!? What are we doing???
No rules, no integrity, no sense, no care, it's just madness. Sadly, Congress (Lord help us all no matter where you sit) needs to get control of this situation asap.

The Big Ten is currently weighing a league-wide ban on scheduling Texas Tech in any sport because of this decision to allow him to play.

A source in the athletic department says Speedy has completed his roster for next season. That*s all I have.

That makes sense. I believe our new team will be on campus starting next week. But I think transfers can still come in. Didn’t Victory and Alex come on board after summer workouts began last year?
Speaking of the team, does anyone have our new roster handy to post here? Thanks.
