He hasn't even gotten any garbage time this season. He sees the writing on the wall and probably wants to go someplace and play. Can't blame him for wanting to play. Good luck Zion.

Don't forget, Zion lost his father a year or so ago. He may have personal reasons for transferring. I wish him well.

Very good, finally some updates and closure here, 2 years of free school for no return is plenty enough, definitely for the best for both sides.

Kudos to Bethea but St Francis was playing Mount St Marys college a D3 school. They beat them by 40 points. Just want to put this into perspective.

Along these same lines Cramer started and played 19 minutes for Bryant who. Played a D3 team and won by 108 points. He had 12 points. Why would u run up the score by that much. Just crazy!!

Its a whole new world - transferring to and from schools will be interesting.

But obviously the connections between players and coaches means something - directly or indirectly -

As previously noted Bethea at ST Francis with son of current Hofstra Assistant Coach Tom Perotta

And

Kevonn Cramer was recruited by Mike Farrelly at Hofstra - Farelly leaves Hofstra - the next years Cramer leaves Hofstra for Bryant (I think we all thought it is kind of a lateral move) - but Byrant Associate Head Coach is Phil Martinelli II - Farrelly and Martinelli where teammates at St Joes in the early 2000's and were both assistants with JAM at Niagara -

The fall early signing period starts Thursday, November 10th. What do you think the chances are that HU can sign a few recruits?

If anyone is interested Burgess started for UNC Asheville played 32 minutes and had 2 points 4 assists and 4turnovers. O-2 from the FT line. Asheville beat UCF. Not real impressive but maybe he played animal D.

No, Texas-Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV, formerly Texas-Pan American) is Division I. As the name implies, it is by the Mexican border. One of the professors put a sign on her door to tell students (who are mostly Hispanic) what to do if Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) comes to investigate. My friend from Merrick went to Boston University, applied for jobs, and the only offer he got was from UTRGV. He broadcasts many sports and does social media. He has also broadcasted minor league sports. UTRGV was 307th of 358 in the NET last season. In their last ten games, the only team they beat was Lamar, who went 0-27 vs. Division I.

It is impressive for a Big South team to win at an American Athletic team that last season went 18-12 with wins against teams that won one, two, and three NCAA Tournament games.
