Eric Paschall of Fordham has now been given permission by Fordham to speak with other schools...GO GET HIM SPEEDY!

Paschall is from Dobbs Ferry. I think his family will want him to stay north of the Throgs Neck Bridge. I could see him transferring to Iona, Manhattan or Fairfield if he wants to stay local.

Maybe we can convince him to come north of Hempstead Turnpike! To the Mack that is!!!

Based on posts from the Fordham board, it doesn't necessarily seem like he wants to stay local. He's potentially looking at schools such as West Virginia, Northwestern, Providence, and VCU in addition to Iona, Manhattan, and Quinnipiac.

Derrick Gordon is transferring from UMASS and available immediately. From North Jersey and would fit our system well. He's a strong character guy who would be a great replacement for Dion...

Not sure if it's been said before but we are targeting Aaron Roundtree

I like the direction we are going in based on the early rumblings for the spring signing period. This team is in win now mode with Green entering his senior season. I'd like to add some upperclassmen who can contribute right away, whether its the JUCO route (Alcegaire) or a graduate player who can play immediately (Rountree)

Sent JAM an email re the Wake Forest kids. He told me they are on it. Here's another one to mull over Tobias Harris, 6-9 from Dix Hills via way of NC State and Providence, eligible immediately....

HUSID80 that would be Tobias younger brother Tyler Harris who played for Providence this year.DO NOT WANT HIS FATHER anywhere near Hofstra. he is a complete control freak.Tyler was at 4 high schools in 4 years and is now working on his third college. Kid has talent but his father comes with the package. His daughter Tesea played for Tina Martin at Delaware. The year Ellena della Donne came he made his daughter transfer to St Johns where she spent three years on the bench. he felt his daughter would not start at Delaware so the move was made. She could have played along side one of the greatest womens college basketball players of all time. Also I believe Tyler is 6ft7.

Lot of excitement building - I too like the type of players being pursued, both for '15 and '16 - agree this team needs to fill the spots with experienced guys who can contribute immediately - Juco or transfer
Alcegaire and Rountree are apparently very high character guys, still IMO the most important thing for this program right now - both very athletic and could add value right from the start - Rountree in particular is a very strong defensive player who rebounds, blocks, steals, dunks, plays well I'm transition, and can hit the 3, all MUCH needed on this team - WA had a very good yr on a strong team, IMO played equal to or better than star Efiyani - he can create his own shot, also much needed
I don't think either we're used properly/fully in their respective university programs - that seems to be a strength of JM, so I wouldn't be surprised to see 1 or both jump at the opp...

You are correct Stu...I know his father...but he is listed at 6-9 now

I'm always cautious about players with multiple transfers, usually means a lot of bad baggage - and this dad is def not helping things from what I can tell
But I will say this kid is talented, seems to be a good guy himself, and hey it's only 1 yr - he's an athletic big who can score and he's highly motivated to perform and get to the next level - might be worth the shot
Only thing I see though is he will DEF want major PT - not a bad thing since he has talent but be will not transfer to a place unless he knows he will get real time on the court

Polito, Tyler started at Providence. Tylers father wants him in the NBA just like his older brother Tobias. HE would want Tyler to be the focus of the offense and probably (MHO) get 15 to 20 shots per game. That is not fair to the new team or its coach. He will probably wind up at a high midmajor that needs a scorer.
