What Bill Tierney has done in only five years at Denver is nothing short of a miracle -- leaving one of the most storied Ivy League programs and essentially building a new program from scratch in a region with no lacrosse tradition. Denver has to be the #1 destination now for the very best players west of the Mississippi and in Canada.

FYI, Denver's defensive coordinator is Hofstra alum John Orsen. Denver's offensive coordinator, Matt Brown, is an an assistant coach with Canada's U19 team and has many other connections up north.

Just proves even more the difference that a quality staff can make

No one can eat that horsesh!t anymore about HU having it too tough to compete anymore - telling me Denver has a better location? Better recruiting ground? Better facilities? Oodles of $? The draw of ivy academics? The lure of a history of national titles?

Nah, didn't think so.

They built a program FROM SCRATCH in the middle of a lax black hole - it's not a miracle, it's called EFFECTIVE COACHING

Meanwhile, in those same 5 yrs, ST has complete destroyed a program that has:

Great tradition
Great facilities
Great funding
Great location
Great recruiting ground
Great reputation and STILL considered one of the top programs to be associated with

That's not a miracle either - it's called POOR COACHING.
