They def have talent, and if HU would've lost them to another school everyone would be talking about the misses, esp after this kid dropped 40+ against a good team in the playoffs lol

But fair point Stu, their size is not ideal, they'll need to put on some weight to hang at this level - really hoping they redshirt - staff seems to be going for another guard in this class so maybe there's a plan

Buie with 25 points in the win-- Kid can flat out score. From the few games I've watched him play this season, it seems like he can run an offense too.

It's important to remember that JAM is targeting players now who fit the system first and foremost. Buie might be small, but he can hit the 3, run a motion offense, and distribute the ball, which are all necessities for this offense to be efficient. A red shirt year would definitely help him, but I wouldn't put my money on it happening.

I dont have worries about Buie on offense its his defense against bigger stronger guards of the CAA. Its a big step up from high school. Even JWF at 6ft2 shooting guard. Lets say the other teams guards are 6ft3 and 6ft5. As freshmen they better be lights out shooting because I can see these bigger guards posting up or taking it to the hole on them.

unless JWF is still growing, I don't think he is quite 6'2". Standing about 10 feet away from him he appeared to be about my size - I am a touch over 6'0". In the verbal committ website he is listed as 6'1". I would be happy if he is a solid 6'2".

My main concern with redshirting Buie is that you might be relying on Eliel to run the offense for the beginning of 2016-2017, unless you're willing to give the job right to Buie from the get-go. Have to assume he'd need some time to adjust to the team before he would be relied on as the primary point guard but I'm not entirely comfortable relying on Eliel after Juan'ya leaves given what I've seen of him. Though I definitely agree he's small for the position and gaining some muscle mass would be ideal for him. It's tricky.

Agree their size is a concern at the next level but there's no question they have talent – these are two of the best guards in the city, and we all would've been upset if another local had taken them from us – also agree that scoring is not the question but what is their defense like… I don't know

Saw on Rivals that we have offered LI Lutheran SF Marvin Prochet, 6-6. He's also received offers from Fordham, Iona, Seton Hall and St. Bonaventure among others. Like to see us land at least one big and another athletic SF for this class.

Excellent!! Hope HU is a serious player - was asking about this guy awhile back, very solid talent, believe he would be a fantastic addiction to the class and program

Traci Carter going to Marquette (big talent, was impressed JM was able to get him to campus for a visit) and Elijah Cain to DePaul (very glad he won't be at UD - huge loss for them)

Two Wake Forest bigs are transferring and are immediately eligible; one 6-8 one 6-10....let's get both or one of 'em! Cain to DePaul may change as the coach has resigned.

Besides Roundtree who will be a grad student who is the other player. Is it 6ft10 Daniel Green also a senior or the Greek player who is a freshman now.

Daniel Green is transferring. Looks like he may have 2 years left. ACL tear, surgery, re-injury has cost him what looks to be two full seasons.

Obviously health is an issue - along with playing time....Rokas and Andre look to be guys filling that role already.

Curious as to why they would be eligible immediately?

fyi-our former football coach is now an asst. football coach at Wake. No relevance, just thought I would mention it.

JAM says they are on it....Good news, looks like quite a few bigs are leaving their schools with a year or so left. We have some great precedents to show them in Zeke and Dion.

Good stuff! I'm sure there's going to be a LOT of movement in the coming weeks - def expecting that they will fill the last 2 spots in this class, and no doubt that they're going hard after guys

Cain is a guy, that if he opens up, they should be ALL over

Of the wake guys guessing roundtree might be the safer bet, but I'm not totally sold on either - very leery of 2 back to back injuries for green...

I be there will be a large number of p,Ayer available, no need to take in a rush, let's go for the best possible fit...
