http://www.espn.com/watch/player?id=3371804 has video, but it's worthless because it keeps buffering, and my internet is working fine for other sites. Nobody on either team reached in the first inning. Liberty bats first.

Can you e-mail that attachment to EvanJ35 @hotmail.com (remove the space). I can't see all of it at once. I like taking pictures of mistakes, so thank you for finding that. My guess for the mistake is the UNC Greensboro is in the SoCon.

It's scoreless in the top of the sixth. Liberty starter Julia DiMartino was 27-7 with a 1.79 ERA going in. Her 27 wins are tied for the sixth most in Division I's 296 teams.

James Madison leads Ohio 1-0. They started late due to rain and are in a rain delay that started in the top of the fourth. That's at Tennessee, and there was also bad weather in Kentucky and Louisiana.

The video I linked to earlier is now working without buffering.

Going to extras. Hofstra left the bases loaded in both the 6th and 7th inning.

Cornell gives up a leadoff home run in the top of the 10th. Could've put this away a while ago.

... and that home run is followed by a triple, still no outs. Awful. Can't leave 10+ players on base and then give up big hits. Dandolda coming in for Cornell.

2-0 Liberty now, thanks to an inexcusable error.

We make it easy for Liberty in the bottom of the 10th and go down in order, giving the Flames their first-ever NCAA tournament win. Honestly didn't even know Liberty was a division 1 team before this regional. How we do we score so many runs in the CAA tournament, and can't muster up one against a Big South team?

We left too many runners on base and just could not score. Liberty really showed up defensively. Unfortunate exit to the tournament.

Tournament isn't a one and done. It's double elimination, lime the conference tournament. They play again tomorrow to keep their season going.

Liberty was founded by Jerry Falwell in 1971 and is the second youngest Division I school. The youngest is Florida Gulf Coast from 1991. I don't know if Liberty was in Division I the whole time, and I was unable to find that out from the NCAA or Wikipedia. They were in Division I in an almanac I have from 1997.

Hofstra must win 2 games today and 2 tomorrow without losing to win the Regional. I wasn't expecting to win the Regional, but I was expecting to finish second, which requires 2 wins. In the other game, South Carolina beat UNC Greensboro 3-0. Kelsey Oh allowed 1 hit and 2 walks in the shutout. South Carolina plays Liberty at 1:00 P.M., Hofstra plays UNC Greensboro at 3:30 P.M., and the first loser plays the second winner at 6:00 P.M.

This is now the topic I have the most posts in.

Edit: The start times were changed to 2:00 P.M., 4:30 P.M., and 7:00 P.M.

Hofstra wins 6-0 Sophia Dandola with a perfect game

UNC Greensboro committed 4 errors. The only MLB team to be the victim of a perfect game and commit at least 4 errors was when the Providence Grays beat the Buffalo Bisons 5-0 on June 17, 1880. Buffalo committed 7 errors in that game.

Well that’s one way to bounce back after a disappointing performance yesterday! It only took Dandola 56 pitches in the perfect game, which means she’ll still be pretty fresh, should we need her against South Carolina tonight.

Hofstra trailed 3-0 after 2 innings, but Edwards hit a two run double to go up 4-3 after 5 and a half innings. Dandola allowed 2 runs in the first inning and was taken out. If Hofstra doesn't allow a run in the next two innings, seeded South Carolina won't reach the Regional Final.

We were 1 out away and lost on a walk and walkoff home run to the 8 hitter.

Too bad...Liberty has been the surprise of this group.
