Agreed but this decisions can be complicated sometimes by whether we have the degree they want to pursue and whether other career plans were already made. In case of Lucy she has played for a club in England, Lewes FC, so may want to pursue that full time.

6th in RPI is huge since hopefully means we will be positioned for an at-large bid if we don't win CAA. Field is only 48 teams though this season so very little margin for error.

Florida State (who I like) is 11-0-0 and Number 1 in the RPI. Northeastern is 14th. The CAA has two teams above everyone in the Big Ten and Big 12.

Lewes FC Women (you need to say "women" at the end to differentiate from me) are sixth of eleven in the Women's Championship, which is the second level.

Bumped to the top Hofstra with a 6-0 win over Delaware. Miri Taylor with 2 goals and 2 helpers and Sabrina Bryan (the little engine that could) also with 2 goals and two helpers. The Hofstra laundermat stays open as we get another clean sheet. Hofstra is now 6-0 on the season. Congrats to Simon and his staff. keep up the good work ladies.

Very impressive game and score could have been even more lopsided. Have never seen such utter domination.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVIlfOYqs1s has highlights. We had 17 shots on goal. We scored 6 once in 2019 and once in 2018. The last time we scored more than 6 was a 9-1 win over Indiana State in the West Virginia University 90 Minute Classic on September 7, 2014. We won our last five games by 20-2. Stony Brook scored more than our last five opponents combined.

Good feature on Sabrina Bryan, where unfortunately she confirms she will not be returning in the fall.

We're up to fourth in the RPI.

Unbeaten streak nearly came to an end before Anja Suttner tied the score in 89th minute. We out-shot Drexel 30-5 and only goal was surrendered from a very questionable foul call that led to PK. Evan, any idea how a tie may affect us in RPI as opposed to what a loss would have done?

The NCAA provides RPI rankings without values, so to find our value and how it would have been different I would need to find another site with values, which I'm not going to do.

Sounds complicated. Any ballpark estimate?

Cancelled due to Adelphi having covid issue. Sucks for Adelphi (coached by former Hofstra player Brooke Derosa) since this was to be their first match after Northeast 10 cancelled its season. Also sucks for Sabrina Bryan, who was going to have her senior day ceremony, but will get another chance Saturday against Towson,

Yes so we should be CAA favorites again in fall.

I did a search, and I didn't find any other sites with the RPI. The NCAA doesn't tell SOS.

https://gohofstra.com/sports/womens-soc ... core/11182 is the box score of our 7-2 win hosting Towson to end the regular season 7-0-1 and 3-0-0 in the CAA. Shots on goal were 8 to 2, with the game having only 1 save. We had more corner kicks, 13 to 1. Lucy Porter scored 43 seconds in and had 3 goals.

Towson hosts the CAA Semifinals on Thursday and Final on Saturday. The CAA page is still for the 2019 Tournament, so it doesn't have start times. The Selection Show will be Monday April 19. All of the tournament for both genders will be in Cary, NC and the surrounding areas. I hope they don't use the same fields for too many games to make declining field conditions as the tournament progresses.

https://caasports.com/news/2021/4/8/wom ... award.aspx is titled "Hofstra's Lucy Porter Named Finalist For Senior CLASS Award." There are ten finalists for each gender. Fan voting is part of who wins.

Edit:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3ZuVgLtqhY has highlights. They have highlights of every win except for at Boston College. In those six wins, I liked the YouTube highlights, and they averaged 1.5 likes from everybody else. I gave 40 percent of the likes.

https://caasports.com/news/2021/4/10/pa ... nship.aspx has the CAA Tournament schedule. Thursday's Semifinals are us against Elon at 4:00 P.M. and UNCW against Northeastern at 7:00 P.M. The Final is Saturday at 3:00 P.M.
