So after beating Campbeii in 4 sets on Saturday
Our record now stands at 11-3 and 6-0 in conference
Last year we finished at 22-4
So over our last 40 matches our record is 33-7
Not too shabby
Lets also consider this
Of our15 players ony 5 are either seniors of juniors
We have 4 sophs and 6 freshmen on this team
We might have the youngest team in the CAA

Great callout Stu, young team with talent and solid coaching, great recipe for success - rooting hard for these ladies, they have an opportunity for a stellar season - championship or bust girls!

After WINNING THE FIRST TWO SETS AGAINST UNCW on the road we lose the next two and are down 11-4 in the 5th set. We come back only to face 5 match points and find a way to win this match 15-14 in set 5. They overall played us even or even better in these games. The next day it comes back to haunt us as we lose our first CAA game in 4 sets. 14-25, 19-25, 25-18, and 14-25 . We clearly were dominated in this game and I guess didn't make the adjustments necessary to be competitive. It's a long season and I'm sure we will come back from this clearly could have lost both games.

After easily beating Northeastern yesterday 3-0 in lopsided wins we run into a different NE team today and lose the first set 22-25,win the second 26-24, lose the third 20-25, win the fourth set 25-18 and win the 5th set 15-13. A real nail biter today and we were fortunate to win. Beatrice Braga had 26 kills and 17 digs while Ellie Pamatat 22 assists and 15 digs also a nice game for Sonja Rundcrantz who had 25 assists. Laura Konzen also had 12 digs and we got 6 blocks from Julia Amorim. A tough gritty win today. We played without Nil Kaayalp (libero) a very important piece of the puzzle but were able to survive.

Really really like what these ladies are about - they aren't world-beaters, but they do have talent, they are tough, resilient, fighters, and never give up. Great traits, and this program has been and continues to be a bright spot this fall season. These last couple of matches have been wild, down the wire, and they've battled through to find ways to win. CofC still the top dog by a hair, but our ladies are neck and neck. Rooting for them in a big way.

Hofstra beats W&M in 4 sets after getting humbled in the first set 13-25. W&M gave us all we could handle with close scores 25-23,25-20 and 28-26. They came in 2-6 in league play and played far better then their record. Beatriz Braga led the scoring with 18 kills. We play them again today and will have to play better. We're still playing without Nil Kaayalp who's a big part of this team.
